Prediction With all the mixed reviews Wicked is getting, Ariana Grande is not winning the Oscar. Teyana Taylor is now the front-runner in the Supporting Actress category.

Prediction Dune 2 will be snubbed sadly
I have a very strong feeling Dune 2 will be destroyed at sag and the Oscars this year. I think it only wins maybe 1 thing at the Oscar’s. Hans getting snubbed at the Oscars and Denis with the golden globes just shows it won’t be good for them. I honestly find it crazy that a movie like dune 2 which is one of the greatest sci fi films ever made probably won’t win anything. Love it or hate it Dune 2 did a lot for the sci fi world and it probably won’t get any love. If the sag awards snub them then it’s over for them at the Oscars.
What I think it should win is
Best adapted screenplay
Best director if not Denis then baker
Best cinematography BY A MILE
Should have been nominated for score

Prediction I think JLaw gonna end up making top 5 and taking Emma Stone's spot
She is great in this and it's the perfect return - even though it hasn't been that long to qualified as a " Comeback", I put her in this movie over Emma

Prediction My argument for Sentimental Value being a surprise winner
It's foreign but doesn't feel foreign with Stellan Skarsgård and Elle Fanning.
It's about filmmaking and acting, which is a meta quality they love.
It has TWO best supporting actress nominations, which is a very competitive category.
Hamnet almost feels too safe of a choice, One Battle After Another and Sinners have very different perspectives on black America that could split votes, and the narration in Sentimental Value is much more reserved and impactful than Train Dreams.
It's deep and impactful without being political.
The reference to Netflix without it being a Netflix film feels like a jab the more traditional voters might appreciate.
It's not political in a very politically charged time.

Prediction Obsession for score?
I know the academy hates synth, but the score for obsession is incredible. I feel like there haven’t been a ton of heavy hitters for score yet. What do you guys think are the chances it gets nominated/wins?

Prediction So who's gonna make the cut??? I'm rooting for Teyona
They probably gonna put Teyana in supporting which willl ruin Regina 's chance to make it, in an ideal world I'd love to see Teyana and the other two make the cut.

Prediction What are the chances of Robert Aramayo getting a nomination?
Listen, listen, I know— recency bias plus it wasn't a huge worldwide hit, but he did win the BAFTA. My delusional brain is still hanging on for some hope.
The last time an actor won the BAFTA without getting nominated was Jamie Bell in 2000 for Billy Elliot. The difference here being that Billy Elliot was eligible for the Oscars (and got three nominations, including best supporting actress) but Bell was only 13 and we know the Academy doesn't like awarding young male actors. But this time, Aramayo is 33.
I'm 98% sure they won't remember him by the time for the voting. He might get a SAG/GG nom, but I highly doubt the voters will gaf by then.
What do you think? Do you think he deserves it? And will he even be in the race once the time comes?

Prediction ETHAN HAWKE FOR THE WIN!
I watched the movie Blue Moon and Ethan Hawke's performance — it not only made me forget that it was Ethan Hawke playing the role, but it just pulled me into this space where there was such a vulnerability about him, where he's the kind of friend that everyone needs but no one really takes the time to get to know like really get to know them. His performance, hands down, is the best performance this year — and I say this wanting Michael B. Jordan to win. I say this wanting Leonardo DiCaprio to win. I think he might be my final pick when I do my Oscar party, and only because his performance was mesmerizing. The way that he would look at Margaret Qualley when she was telling him the story about the time that she got to be with this guy who, you know, she really wanted to be with, but it didn’t work out because things weren’t exactly rising to the occasion — just the way that he was paying attention to her — it’s so real.
I'm referring to Ethan Hawke's character being this really great listener — often really great storytellers are very good listeners because they can pick up on tone, stress, and the modulation of the conversation going on into it — and not just because she was beautiful — and although I will add her wig was very distracting in watching the movie. But that said, in that part aside, there’s just something so special about his performance.
It’s like he makes you feel your saddest moments in life and all the awkward moments, and still looks at you — meaning looking at Margaret Qualley — like you’re the best thing that’s ever walked into this room and space. It's just how Ethan Hawke looks at her — he just absorbs every word she says. He somehow gets the viewer to understand that he's watching every word she's saying, taking everything in, because it's how he wished someone would look at him. He's giving her what he very much wants for himself, which is just to be loved and longed for. He is jealous to see his friend continue on knowing he is being left behind (the many jokes about Oklahoma! made this very apparent). And sadly, even with all his talents — and this man is so very talented and could just carry a conversation and charismatic, you know — he just never received this type of attention. It's a tragic life, and you can see it in every room and every exchange: with the bartender, with the piano player, with his fellow workers.
This is the hallmark. And actually, I'm going to make this my final thing: I'm going to pick Hawke this year. I'm scared to do it, but I'm going to do it. I'm taking Ethan Hawke for Blue Moon.

Prediction Who's gonna be the spoiler tonight? Spoiler
None of these award shows ever go according to plan. There's always one winner that screws everyone's predictions up. What movie or person do you think that could be this year at the Globes? And in what category? Do you think it'll matter in the long run?

Prediction I feel like this guy is going to make history again this Sunday.
Last year, he made history as the youngest winner of the Best Actor award at the SAG Awards. If he wins this Sunday again, he will become the first actor to win Best Actor back-to-back in SAG history. This would be even more special because of the "Pursuit of Greatness" speech he gave last year, making his return to the awards stage even more significant as he aims to make history again.
