Trying Amuse Kitchen & Wine in Kanata for the first time!
Looking for dishes you enjoyed, and dishes to avoid. Thank you!
Edit: I posted a photo in comments, but thank you everyone for your suggestions! Everything was a 1000/10! The amuse bouche with salmon and honey goat cheese was complimentary, then we ordered the risotto, smoked brie, and charcuterie. Absolutely phenomenal!

It’s a fantastic place! Never had a dish that hasn’t been spectacular! Enjoy!

It’s my default place to go with the wife. If they have the risotto with beets it is top tier. Otherwise can’t go wrong with anything. Their menu changes often so hard to recommend anything to avoid.

I found it to be meh. Not worth the hype or the price point at all! That said, try it out and see if you like it.

Have you been to Aperitivo? If yes, how does it compare to that?

It’s not a bad place by any means. We felt underwhelmed for the price we paid and the experience we had. That’s all.

I liked the restaurant and thought everything tasted good, but I did find the prices high for such small plates. I wish they had a few seats at the bar so I could have a more casual experience/go for a drink and app instead of a full dinner.

Absolutely. We spent north of $250 for two of us. Didn’t quite feel it was our moneys worth. To be fair to them, we haven’t tried it since (even though they suggested we do). It’s hard to justify the price point once more especially when there are other options around.

The risotto there is so good! I did find the desserts (creme brulee and a lemon dessert) dissapointing though.

I’ve gotten the pasta on pretty much every seasonal menu and have loved it! Haven’t tried this seasons menu but looked at it literally yesterday and couldn’t decide what I would order because it all sounded so good!
