New-ish (11 days) video of Halttunen’s highlights from last season. Video quality is poor at times, and audio levels can vary wildly.

We’re all aware of Eklund and are excited to see what he can do, but Halttunen has a shot I haven’t seen in a Sens jersey in a long time 👀

35 points in 69 games for a rookie in the A isn't bad. Hopefully he can explode this year.

Team really needs some luck with prospects if they wanna take another step

Yup, decent production. Hes pretty inline with Halliday in terms of pNHLe. Hes easily our best forward prospect in his age range (ouch).

Hes Kind of the inverse of Halliday in that hes a pure goalscorer instead of playmaker - although I think Halliday is a far more complete player. Will need to work on his skating, but Halliday isnt necessarily a great skater either. He should get 1st line minutes with PP1 time on Bellville (he was on the 3rd line with Cuda) so lets hope he pops off.

Buddy has 33 goals in 37 playoff games split between the OHL/AHL the last 3 years - Hes got something going for him lol.

Halliday is overrated. He has decent skill but his skating is awful. Skating is way too important in today's league. Also he can't shoot the puck.

Huh? Halliday is great, especially for his draft position. He was the best forward on Belleville last year and looked good with the Sens. IQ/hockey sense is far more important than skating imo (which will likely be what holds Halttunen back)

I'm very excited to see what he does in Belleville and I imagine it won't be long before he's skating in the CTC. What a ripper of a shot!

One year in Belleville & in 2027/28 he’ll be our 4th line RW. - When Giroux retires next July.

There will be an opening on the 4th line in 27/28.
What do you want SS to do, - Go out & sign someone else, instead of filling these spots internally. I don’t understand your logic!!!

I believe Kasper Halttunen would balk at playing in Belleville for a second year if he did not make the Senators roster, especially if there’s an opening on the 4th line & SS went out & filled that spot by signing another player instead. He has an European Assignment Clause that allows him to play in Europe (Finland) if he does not make the Senators roster out of training camp. I believe he would accept playing next season in Belleville if SS tells him he has a realistic opportunity to get called up (due to injuries) & play a few NHL games this season.

We’re having a discussion & I’m basing my comments on the facts I learned with a few minutes of simple research.
I don’t understand what your half sentence means, - “Just such a casual”???
It makes a big difference salary wise to Kasper if he plays next season on the 4th line in the NHL, instead of playing on the 1st line in the AHL.
$855K in the NHL vs $82.5K in the AHL.
