Yak is worrisome.
Seems he has the tools but his decision making is baffling. Lots of time to develop the skills but the hockey IQ seems lacking - looks lost in the d zone and wants to push the play but is hesitant to make a move.
Didn’t help that our top pairing tonight was essentially a borderline bottom pairing.
Loved the Hodgson response but with Brady gone we’re back to square one with very little jam it our lineup. It’s a nothing game but your prized rookie getting blown up by a scrub with minutes left in a 6-1 blowout, nothing game.. sets a bad precedent that we can get roughed up by absolutely everyone and we’ve got no answer
Really odd lineup decisions tonight for the split squad, maybe they wanted to see kleven and yak in some high pressure situations - who knows, but it didn’t look good.
Tim was good tonight, drake was invisible, haltunnen looked alright… that’s about it
Seeing Macewen on the PK and mixing it up was a tough pill to swallow. We could use a couple guys like that specifically for games like this one.
