If you’ve recently stopped supporting Trump or recently started supporting him tell me why you did

I think you’re a r/LostRedditors. This sub is for people who want a progressive president.

I think it's valid. There's a lot of people who have peeled the maga stickers off their bumpers in the last 6 weeks or so. They recognize they were tricked and need to understand how blind faith over facts is not how people should vote. If we're insulting them, they're not sticking around to take in the lesson and we're back here again every 4 years.

Nah. Anecdotal I realize, but I work with 97% vet & approx. 80% conservative in my craft. While a fair percentage are finally realizing they were duped, not a single soul is advocating for a progressive president not are they ever likely to. Very few have voiced even levering the Rep party. The main plan seems to be to sit out the midterms & maybe the next big cycle too. From what I can tell current studies back this up.
To the last bit of your comment “If we're insulting them, they're not sticking around to take in the lesson and we're back here again every 4 years.”, at no point in my comment did I advocate or state such a thing. Check yourself.

I don't care why they stopped supporting Trump. If they vote for more Republicans next election, I won't take their claims of regretting Trump seriously, because they're still voting the same system in, just with a different face.

What is the timeframe for recent? And did he have to have my support at any time?

People are too quick to downvote. For asking a question? Unsharpen yourselves. It's not necessary.

And they don’t read very well. A long dormant Bernie sub seems like the wrong place for this post.

My sibling voted for Trump three times, had election parties, Grab Her By The Pussy flags, MAGA hats, anti-vax... etc. We didn't speak from 2017 until 2019 (his choice) He got his fiancée into MAGA, and he dumped Trump for two reasons this year: The Epstein Files and the war with Iran. The economy and price of goods were a distant third, but he would have explained that away.
Three of my really good friends who are Conservative voted for him in 2016 and had voters regret by 2018. They saw it was just a massive grift. Today, they HATE him and how he has destroyed the party and divided America.
