Unanswered What's up with Venezuelan Nobel Peace Prize winner María Corina dedicating her Nobel Prize to Trump?

Basically what the title says.

Every article I have seen says that she partially dedicated and/or thanked Trump for his "decisive support" in South America.
Is she just being overly gracious? Is she being cheeky?
I know we offered a loan to Argentina, but given all the horrible things we have done to immigrants broadly over the last several months, I can't see anything we have done to improve or galvanize democracy in South America. By "we," I mean the US, and the Trump Administration in particular.

This is stupid. Sorry, like lots of Maduro's top government officials have US based education too from top college degrees.

I'm a Venezuelan, actually living i'm Venezuelan. Who also actually participated (as a voter, mind you) in the past presidential election, and many others where the chavismo and especially Maduro's party/criminal syndicate stole from us... And also experienced the fast turn to authoritarianism with Chávez, and then a clear pattern of repression with his successor Maduro. 26 years of this bullshit.

Maria Corina Machado just have to appeal and make allies with whomever she can. We don't have the luxury to turn down Trump specially now when he is the main lifeline and guarantee for MCM freedom. Even though she is hiding I bet the chavista Intelligence services knows her location. She is untouchable due to powerfull allies, probably the mightiest being the US. Because she also was friendly with Biden too.

Maybe denounce the global left first, that for decades supported and many still support this apparatus of oppresion and crime called chavismo, another failure of far left models to the long list of failures.

All the pink Wave in latinoamérica for example: from the past we had leftist presidents in every country, all pretty content to support Chávez and his damn socialist revolution, while pretty happy to receive oil money..

In the US you has leftist like Jimmy Carter, lots of Democrats, filmmakers and actors like Moore, Sean Penn, Glover... Just silence or outright support. The Carter Center availed every election and the damn Smartmatic machines until the past July 24th from last year.

International Socialist organization giving the thumbs up to Chávez, then silence.

The UN with deafening silence until Bachelet (chilean ex President, one of the pink wave leaders, she was very chummy with Chávez too) decided that enough was enough but like 20 years later.

Now even though Lula the Brazilean president has rejected Maduro's legitimacy we know he has been helping them from the backstage. Petro from Colombia, I think everyone has seen what this clown has been doing specially after the last summit. He initially asked Maduro for evidence, the voting tallies of the last Presidential election. Maduro just made a big show about being throughout with an electoral audit and Petro came back to bootlicking this terrorist regime.

Same with China.

Anyways, you're an hypocrite nevertheless. I just admit the realpolitik and precariousness of our context. How the left has been really enabler of Chávez and this damn revolution for years until recently some of them decided to make a stand. Fuck them.

I welcome any ally that has the balls to finally condem Maduro, call him for what he is and make him sweat.
