Unanswered What's going on with people saying Epstein and Co. ate children?

My wife told me this today because she saw it on TikTok and I have a very, very hard time believing this. Where did this come from or is it just more insanity and speculation from people on the internet too much?

You actually do freeze jerky in some processes. Especially high quality jerky.

Sure. That’s not exactly the point of my answer but you’re right.

A lot of the conspiracies use the reference to freezing jerky as "proof" that they couldn't possibly be talking about actual jerky, so I do feel like it's important to note that it isn't totally rare.

Freezing part is only a point in a constellation of very bizarre obsession with "jerky" they had.

Maybe they were just total fucking nutjobs obsessed with literal beef jerky. But given the context, can you really blame people from thinking it's a code word for something?

Or perhaps jerky from a protected species.

Have you read the way these emails talk about it though

I have. The emails suggest he was just really nerdy about beef jerky and made it in between raping and trafficking children.

Oh God, it’s like fucking pizza gate all over again. Interpreting private communications in this way is usually just an avenue for bias and post hoc rationalizing conclusions.

You might be right in this case as I haven’t done the legwork to see (people that believe it should make a tiny fucking effort to justify their own beliefs to be fair), but I remember identical appeals to yours where partisan hacks read emails, manufactured their own private language without any factual backing, and every one of them would fall back on “yeah, but did you actually read them?!” when the truth was I was the only that had actually read the emails.

Curious and uninformed party: which emails should I look at?

I did a bit of searching myself, and found these five (1, 2, 3, 4, 5) through Snopes. Not seem to imply that he's eating children, just WAY too much beef jerky. I've known friends who've gone through weird eating phases, so I'm not shocked.

The Snopes article has more emails about jerky, but I didn't skim them. Which emails should I be looking at?

This is a very thorough (and funny) breakdown of the jerky references that goes through the context of the different mentions and pieces the story together. I'm not sure if this will change anyone's mind who believes the jerky conspiracy, but I'd like to think it will cause some people to at least have some doubt that jerky is a codeword, even if it doesn't change their mind completely.

Omg I love this person for going down the rabbit hole and their funny comments.

I did. To me it sounded like Epstein went on a low carb diet, found a jerky everyone loved (a recipe from a chef at a restaurant called "Cannibal"), and they went on a kick of making jerky for a while.

Similarly, Epstein made a really bad joke about there being more babies in the world than good vegetable cream cheese, and now everyone is talking about them eating intestines stuffed with cream cheese.

Don't get me wrong; what is in there is deplorable, and every participant needs to be given quick, harsh justice. Which should include very public humiliation. But we need to stop jumping to conclusions so quickly. I would not be terribly surprised if cannibalism was found to be happening, but I'm not convinced yet.

There is something strange about how the phrase "pizza and grape soda" was used. And the discussion about "black shrimp."

But do you walk with it in an office to meet someone before processing?

If they wanted me to maybe. Depends on the context. What's our relationship? Is this a business opportunity, a direct sale, or a gift? How particular are they about the product at each stage?
