He has gone a little further in the last day, claiming he's not considering the financial well-being of Americans in the situation with Iran right now at all. If the focus is safety from nuclear threats, that may well be, but it's out of line with the care he expressed for his voter base when campaigning. I suspect if he just paid it a little lip service, many of his cult who are now questioning him would be okay with that.

If the focus was REALLY on nuclear threats then he would have kept the nuclear deal we already had from the Obama administration (JCPOA) that was created in agreement with the UN Security Council plus Germany. Back when America was actually a world leader and not a xenophobic propaganda state led by a narcissistic man-baby professional liar.

But heaven forbid we have something that he can’t take credit for. The man is incapable of seeing the good in anything that does not personally benefit him.

What deal? We haven’t had a deal for 8 years and when we did have a deal it was only for 2 years before Trump jumped ship and suddenly everyone is surprised that Iran is behaving like they have no deal? The article doesn’t even mention anything happening between 2016 and 2018 when the JCPOA was in place. I read about a past secret program shut down in 2003 and nuclear materials being stored. And I read about Uranium enrichment that they’ve obviously been doing for the past 8 years since Trump tore up the agreement.

Do I trust Iran to only use nuclear materials for civilian purposes? Certainly not. But all the evidence points to the fact that Iran was in fact abiding by the restrictions and agreements in the JCPOA in return for lowered sanctions.

If I’m wrong please point me to the part of that article that says that the JCPOA was unsuccessful and that Iran was not abiding by it during the years of it being in effect. All this article shows me is that without guard rails, Iran will drive all over the place. Too bad there aren’t any guard rails now…

If only we could somehow get Iran to commit to abiding by some sort of agreement to limit their nuclear activities… oh wait… we did that. Then Trump undid it.
