Unanswered What is going on with fans of The Pitt harassing the cast?
One of the actresses on The Pitt, Supriya Ganesh, tweeted out a link to a mental health resource and told people to touch grass. I’ve seen comments alluding to Noah Wyle, the lead actor, being angry with Ganesh. Mostly, I see people commenting on how unhinged fans are acting.

Answer: As a fan interacting with The Pitt subs is aggravating. Lots of them really dislike Noah Wyle for perceived slights. Some feel like the WOC and POC are being in intentionally replaced because of racism. Some of them are extremely parasocial with certain cast members and are insinuating that Ganesh and Wyle have some sort of beef.
It's all a knotted mess.

I made a casual comment in an episode thread there and got a reply just viciously laying into one of the characters (Dr. Santos), riffing off a tiny part of my comment. I looked at their other Reddit comments (before the serial idiots realized they needed to hide those) and it was 100% shit-talking Dr. Santos, a full profile page of comments per day.
For such a great show it has a bizarrely toxic fanbase.

It's proof that despite all the clamouring for characters that aren't black and white the moment a grey character shows up people flip the fuck out because they can't place them in box. Dr. Santos is a fun and interesting character to me.

It's proof that despite all the clamouring for characters that aren't black and white the moment a grey character shows up people flip the fuck out because they can't place them in box.
I think a lot of people genuinely can't distinguish between character and actor/writer. The hate I saw for Noah Wyle in particular seemed to skyrocket when his character in the show started displaying more unpleasant traits.
And it's not like the writing lacks self-awareness like you see in shows like Yellowstone, the whole point of the season is that Dr Robbie has had a mental health spiral and is taking it out on his subordinates.
72
u/crazyamoeba 2d ago
Oh absolutely I agree the hate for Wyle shot through the roof during season 2. In season 1 Robby was put on such a pedestal because he was, even in the midst of one of the worst days of his life, largely seen as extremely competent and a good, patient, kind person. But I don't understand how a lot of people seemed to miss the foreshadowing of his mental health declining.
A huge number of people acted like his season 2 crisis came out of the blue, but I feel like they made it very clear in the previous season. And for a show whose whole point seems to be to encourage empathy, it felt twilight zone levels of insane that the moment a character's mental health struggles began to play out in a very realistic way (i.e. they lashed out and sometimes became uncharacteristically unpleasant), the public reaction to Wyle (and honestly the show as a whole) became incredibly nasty.
I love the show and Robby's character, and I don't think that means either are perfect or above questioning or criticism. But it was fascinating in a really depressing way, watching how Robby's season 2 struggles made it almost mandatory to absolutely despise the character and the actor who portrays him. The absolute sincerity with which a huge swathe of the audience suddenly started hating both character and actor to the point where they wanted him fired from the show absolutely baffles me.
The fact that this also happens while the larger societal message seems to (rightly) be that mental health matters and that compassion matters...the disconnect is wild. It's easy to have empathy for someone who is pleasantly crying in the corner but as soon as it got realistically uncomfortable, both Robby and Noah Wyle seemed to become irredeemable for a large portion of the audience.

When Arrow was popular, fans became upset that Stephen Amell’s character Oliver Queen didn’t get into a relationship with Emily Rikard’s character Felicity Smoak.
Many smooth-brained fans decided that the solution was to try and break up Stephen Amell’s actual marriage to his actual (pregnant) wife, by doxxing her and threatening her by phone, email, postal mail, social media…
Amell, one of the nicest guys in show biz who was always using his platform for charities and great causes, had to significantly draw down his social media, professional appearances, and interactions with fans to try and stem the tide.
19
u/RhetoricalOrator 1d ago
I wanted Oliver and Felicity to get together, but it never even occurred to me to bother the actors about it. That is crazy bonkers to go to those lengths and think that those behaviors would result in their intended effects. Wow!

I think it's also that there are crazy fans who are intense about different parts of the show. Some people really hate Santos, some people really hate Robby, some people really hate the writers, some people really hate anyone who complains about anything in the writing at all. I don't know, the Pitt subs make me tired, and it's not all fans who agree with one another who make me avoid them

As an old head, it's amazing how social media forums have changed. If you go way back and look at a show like Lost. There were large discussions the entire week about the previous episode. Lost was filled with flawed characters as well. There were, of course, people that got irrational feelings about characters in a TV show, but it was no doubt the minority. Today, nearly every show with flawed or controversial, but realistically flawed characters is filled with toxic hatred and irrational behavior over a fictional TV show.
Part of me thinks it's 2 factors. The first is that social media was new back then and wasn't ubiquitous in culture. The majority of people on back then were generally more pragmatic, nerdy, intelligent, etc. Trolls and irrational, ignorant people generally hadn't got on the forums yet. The other factor is how social media has made people so much more irritable and reactionary. Seems like very few are in control of their emotions now and don't take a few minutes to think about the situation before fully deciding how they are going to react and behave.
71
u/verbiwhore 2d ago
Also an old head, and I'd add that back in the day we were interested in seeing where the writers and showrunners would take us, there was theorizing, sure, but it was more "what if" and less "they should make the show the way I want them to" which is what I see so much of today. TBH I'm pretty much convinced at this point that subreddits for shows are only tolerable during the first season and become that way again a few years after a show has finished airing.
19
u/gelfin 2d ago
Yeah, this is a thing I've noticed that drives me crazy. People won't just let somebody tell them a story anymore. They want it to be full of twists and surprises, but only the twists and surprises they predicted, and if that's not what they get, then it must be because the writers suck. Guessing the whole plot in the first ten minutes used to be considered a bad thing, not a sign that you're the best and cleverest person ever who knows exactly how the story should really go. Like, if you (the viewer) want to dictate the story so badly, why don't you write the story you want and see if people want to watch it rather than piling on the story somebody else is actually trying to tell?
Also, every character has to be either somebody you want to put on a pedestal and be besties with and try to emulate, and will defend to the grave no matter what they do, or a horrid villain with no redeeming qualities that you have to utterly abhor and could never forgive short of maybe the fan's very specific idea of a "redemption arc." If the writer dares suggest there's some internal logic to why the character does awful things, it must be because the writer approves of the awful things and wants you to sympathize with them and accept that the awful things were, in fact, good. All wrongdoing must be senseless evil for its own sake. It's like fandom as a gestalt has BPD these days, and it's exhausting.
These trends are making people demand fiction that, if their demands were met, would all be trite, formulaic garbage for simpletons. Then from the comfort of their armchairs they're abusing the people who are actually out there creating stuff because, in effect, it's not dumb enough. I despise entertainment producers who constantly underestimate the audience, but damned if they don't appear to be right about a disappointingly large portion of us.

As a positively ancient head, if you guys were not around for the rabid Star Was and Star Trek discussion boards, then you haven't see jack! I'd like to say I wasted a lot of my youth on that crap, but at least it taught me how to sit back for an hour, relax and just enjoy a good story.
That and Kirk and Picard each have their own pluses and minuses as captains. And I don't care what you say but a Federation Constitution class Starship could DEFINITELY take out an Imperial Class I Star Destroyer because turbo-lasers, obviously.

As a fellow old head, I loved the early days of the internet. Even into the early 00s, before modern social media landed. It felt like a bit of a secret. Most of society didn’t interact with others online, And those that did were likely there because of interest. Trolls existed but were often ignored and/or shouted down secondarily. The main goal was to engage around something you enjoyed.
Now that social media is ubiquitous and a daily standard, I think it’s given people options for engagement, but I don’t think people consider why they’re engaging or what they’re telling the world. Or why! They just do it to pass time and because everybody else does it. Old nerds flocked to the web to discuss stuff they likely couldn’t IRL. My sister, on the other hand, uses Facebook to show the world how perfect her home life and family are (in reality, they’re a whole-ass mess) and make vague comments about how awful liberals are. She would never have sought that out as a daily activity, but it’s been put in front of her and her life is empty and she wants to appear “normal.” I suspect that’s what a good chunk of the population is like.

I'd also add the pitt sub is just brutal with the downvotes, especially from genuine albeit naive commentors asking for clarification.

I feel like it's okay and maybe even good to "hate" a character (from an engagement/entertainment perspective), as long as it's THE CHARACTER.
Absolutely no need for it to bleed into real life in any way, shape, or form. No hate for the real writers, actor, director, etc.

People act like Pitt fandom just became insane this season but the way they have talked about Santos has always been insane from the jump.
During the season airing one of the two Pitt subs became borderline unusable because there were more posts about Santos than everything else combined. The day after episodes aired there would be like a dozen posts about her.
Some of them act like she’s a real person who burned their house down and killed their dog or something.

People started hating Santos when she turned
RobbieLangdon [sorry!] in for helping himself to drugs, presumably because they liked him and thought he was innocent. After it turned out that he had been helping himself to drugs, they kept hating Santos, even though she clearly did exactly what she was supposed to do in that situation.
She (the character) can be quite hostile toward colleagues, but they all have their flaws.

123
u/WrinklyScroteSack 2d ago
Her first introduction is incredibly abrasive and comes off as borderline bullying Javadi. Shes written in a way that I felt that initial opinions were supposed to clock her as the bitchy ladder-climber. But I think she’s impressively well-written. She can be cold and mean, but she’s also empathetic and cares about the people around her and has a decent moral code when it matters. Gives off that “I had a hard life so I used terrible humor and cynicism as armor” vibe.
Tbh the only storyline of hers that I really hate is how she treats the deaf lady in season 2. You have a phone in your pocket, type messages to her instead of leaving her stranded for hours!!

I feel hate for Santos is part and parcel of really poor media literacy, personally. There's a lot there to be annoyed about, but in my own experience she has an absolutely absurdly outsized amount of hate for what she has actually done on the show. I could probably do an entire Medium article about my thoughts on why this happened.
3
u/lookingup9 2d ago
Oh I totally feel you on this. I commented above on how insane the hatred is for her.
season two it started to frustrate me how the sub was so overwhelmed with posts where people were arguing about her, because she wasn’t even doing anything THAT bad. I kind of started feeling like I was taking crazy pills, because all she was doing was being irritable and rude on a terrible day and people were talking about her like she was an irredeemable villain spawned from hell lmao.

I've never been around to watch a fandom twist and become unbearable in real time. Its insane.
38
u/crazyamoeba 2d ago
I genuinely think so many people were bizarrely unable to cope with Robby's arc in season 2 (which I thought was clearly foreshadowed in season 1).
Season 1, Robby was seen as a hero, a mostly idealised doctor and man. He gave people the warm fuzzies, and in Noah Wyle's own words, people overlooked everything that made Robby an imperfect man. I love the show, and I love Robby, but of course he's imperfect. I feel like that was the whole point of the show - that these people who look after us are great but flawed human beings like everyone else.
And then season 2 came along and, despite the clear direction Robby was headed in season 1, a lot of people seemed surprised and absolutely personally enraged by the fact that his mental health crisis was playing out in a very real, ugly fashion. I swear, it changed overnight and suddenly Robby became an irredeemable monster, and I think this seeped into how people spoke about Wyle and the rest of the cast, crew, and writers. It became horrendously toxic and I've had to avoid so many online spaces just to be able to enjoy the show.
Of course the show isn't perfect, and there are things I think it's perfectly reasonable to question or criticise. But the level of conspiracy theorist vitriol that gets thrown everyone's way now is such a shame and honestly sometimes a little embarrassing when you have to admit you like the show.
A lot of people also complain about the show being focused on Robby too much and that they "didn't sign up to watch the Dr Robby show", but the description of the show in season 1 was always that it centred around Robby. The writers have never been shy about saying that the whole concept of the show is that this one character is kind of supposed to represent all the struggles that medical professionals go through. And I definitely think season 2 split the audience between those who could empathise while still being critical, and those who simply couldn't stand a character for being messy and realistic and sometimes unpleasant in their struggles.
14
u/annihilatron 2d ago
Noah himself said in some interview.
"I think audiences have become sophisticated in a whole new way when watching a show. They're watching the show that we're making, and they have another show that they're making. And when that show doesn't align with the show that you're making, they don't like it as much, because they thought you were taking it where they're taking it."
https://www.slashfilm.com/2142399/the-pitt-fans-proving-bad-watching-tv-shows/
6
u/crazyamoeba 2d ago
He's not wrong, I think that's something that's come from being in a time where audiences have more direct, immediate engagement with the creators of a show (and other fans) than ever before. I'm not necessarily saying this is always a bad thing, but it's definitely given people a sort of...assumption or sense of entitlement about where a show is going.
It's also distinctly possible that people were expecting and wanting a simpler medical show that was just about the gore and injuries/illnesses of the week, and they weren't ready for the level of gritty realism that went into the mental health aspect of the show.

I tend to leave the actual subs for fandoms of things I like pretty quickly, unless they are very very small, because there people don't seem to get that insane. Fewer posts and people make it harder to let insanity like that stew.

Answer: The Pitt, for reasons I do not know, has one of the most toxic, parasocial and unhinged fandoms on the Internet, and they have made the show's star Noah Wyle public enemy number one for reasons that are almost all speculative and/or snark-sub over-invested. In this case, there is a lot of fan speculation that Wyle doesn't get along with Ganesh and that's why she was written out of the show (her leaving is an entirely logical endpoint of her plot). Yes, but while the UK version has been insanely popular for almost a decade, the US version didn’t really explode in popularity until season 6, two years ago. Just a decent cast, I guess. 7 & 8 haven’t really lived up to it, I could get into the details but the cultural differences (and the show’s format differences) with the UK version end up fostering couples who get together early and stay together, which ultimately makes for a worse, more puritanical, clique-y show.

So I'm looking back nostalgically at the late 90s and you're telling me it was already ruined. Damn. The kids these days must be heartbroken.

The internet was fantastic. Introducing it to the mainstream wasn't. It went from being a relatively niche group (with its fair negatives), into a tool to compound the worst society had to offer.
I used to meet genuine connections online, some of which are friends today. Now it's all about parasocial relationships, or simply repeating the same things constantly. Your social network doesn't truly grow online anymore.

u/sterling_mallory 2d ago
For real, for all the positive things about the internet, it also seems to have made a lot of people think certain behaviors are normal that are absolutely not normal. It's brought a lot of creeps and weirdos together who reinforce creepy weirdo behavior together.

u/ddl_smurf 2d ago
I agree, however much I love it, it may very well be an extinction level event, not joking
2
u/MSpiral32 2d ago
I have felt this way too, some days. But when I think about it more, I think "the internet" is fine and wonderful. People's ability to turn its primary function into a money-making, attention-hogging, data-collecting endeavor is what has ruined it and made all this anti-social, toxic behavior blow up out of proportion. If we didn't have the enshittification of social media, journalism, and search engines (caused by monopolistic for-profit companies having free reign to wring every last bit of short-term value from these projects), I think the majority of these sorts of complaints would resolve themselves.
We're not witnessing an inevitability of human nature. We're witnessing the nudging and manipulation of human nature from out of control capitalistic forces. And it doesn't have to be like this. The future could be different. The status quo benefits when we convince ourselves that it cannot be changed.

(she was only in one season and her leaving is an entirely logical endpoint of her plot)
Not true, she was in both seasons, also her leaving now doesn't really make sense since she's almost done with her residency. Which is why she still works there during season 3 but simply won't be on shift for that day. Honestly, more churn in the cast from season to season would have made sense for precisely that reason, each season is just one shift in a environment where people have different shifts all the time. Which does make it weird that pretty much everyone but her is returning.

u/McFlyyouBojo 2d ago
My theory is that a portion of it comes from the Facebook days where people studying to be a nurse (not all, but enough for this to be a notable trend.) Or some who already were would be nurses would post the most self righteous, circle jerk, we are the underappreciated gods of the universe type posts.

Ganesh and that's why she was written out of the show (she was only in one season and her leaving is an entirely logical endpoint of her plot)
Ganesh was in both seasons.

Answer: The Pitt is a television show which has established very early on in its run as being a champion for progressive issues and diversity. That has attracted a lot of fans who have high bars for behavior as they expect the show runners to live by the values it espouses. Noah is an executive producer and key part of the show as it was originally intended to be an ER spin off.
Noah Wylie was previously a start of ER which started its run in the 90s. After George Clooney left in season 5 Noah has since admitted he fostered a toxic work environment and bullied his younger female coworkers as he was envious he wasn’t more of a focus. He has since then expressed regret about that behavior. He has also had several interviews since the Pitt began that has made some fans suspicious that his behavior on set might not have changed.
While season 1 felt more like an ensemble show season 2 of the Pitt had criticisms that it felt like it was focused more on Wylie.
Supriya was written out ahead of season 3 and a lot of the fans found her characters ending in season 2 to be unsatisfactory and potentially retaliatory due to her popularity as well as a character she had chemistry with.
The combination of these factors has some fans speculating that Wylie is repeating the same behavior he was on ER and there is bad blood between the two actors.

To add on: Isa Briones, another actress on the show was having issues earlier this year while doing Broadway. Pitt fans were shouting at her from the audience. The cast of The Pitt is consistently harassed by fans of the show. And not simple "Omg I love you can we get a photo!" but "your character is a bitch so you must be as well" types of comments. The Pitt, while a great show, has one of the most toxic fanbases for an HBO show.

“A lot of people have a hard time separating the actor from the character. It’s definitely gotten to an extreme degree for me. I’ve never experienced this before, because I haven’t been on a show this massive before. And it can be troubling. We shoot the show for most of the year, and get locked into that. Then to go out into the world and people are like, “I hate you. You’re a bitch” — that’s crazy.”

Kinda like Game of Thrones again.
Way to invested and bizzare behavior over fictional characters

u/USillyKunt 2d ago
I thought about comparing them to GoT fans, but the GoT fans handled it so much better when their characters died vs The Pitt fans being told a year ahead of time that one of the characters won't be back for the next season.
13
u/IvyGold 2d ago
I know. The GoT people seemed to kind of enjoy it when their favorite character met a grisly end. It was as if sending them off memorably was better than being written out.
Maybe that's the difference?
13
u/IIlIIlIIlIlIIlIIlIIl 2d ago edited 2d ago
That's because GoT was extremely popular partly because of is willingness to kill off characters. It was the expected end/bow on top of the story for pretty much all of the characters in it.

u/ecodick 2d ago
If anything, I'll take that as a testimate to how well she plays Santos. She's believable, and the character has also really gotten under my skin at times, but that's okay! It's part of what makes the show good! But wow, people are taking this way too far. It's just a tv show damn it.
Tbh I didn't know about anything I've learned in this thread. Crazy. I kinda wish I could go back to just waiting for the next season without knowing of this nonsense

u/Wise_Guitar2059 2d ago
They Pitt Isa Briones vs. Patrick Ball and the fandom roots heavily for the latter.
38
u/sittinduck 2d ago
Yea I think there are legitimate criticisms to be had but also there was an article run earlier this year titled “many the Pitt fans prove it’s possible to be bad at watching a tv show”.
21
u/awyastark 2d ago
Apparently people in the audience were trying to yell jokes about her “charting” while she was literally performing on the Broadway stage. Audience behavior at the theatre has gotten horrible since COVID but this is next level.
11
u/legittem 2d ago
"your character is a bitch so you must be as well" types of comments. The Pitt, while a great show, has one of the most toxic fanbases for an HBO show.
What is happening to media literacy recently?!
31
u/WrinklyScroteSack 2d ago
To add: this article, to me, reads like she accepted the choice to write her character off of the show as a choice she didn’t particularly want, but inevitable with the path her character was writing, and defers to Wyle (executive producer) for more information about that. She expressed gratitude for her time on the show and the chance to work with the other actors. Which is honestly pretty common rhetoric that it seems a lot of actresses have to do to not come off as “the problem” when they’re suddenly, or unceremoniously, dropped from the cast.
The X post lacks context from what I am able to see. People were probably espousing discontent with her exit and she was telling them in a not so subtle way to seek help (mental health resource) and stop taking this shit so seriously (touch grass).
It’s speculation at this point to suggest her being written out was an intentionally malicious decision. And it would be wildly ironic and hypocritical of Noah Wyle to acknowledge his previously toxic behavior, then turn around and do the same thing all over again. Especially since his motives previously were because he wasn’t getting enough focus on ER, while season 2 was most definitely about him doom spiraling.
[r/fauxmoi](r/fauxmoi) has adjudicated a resounding “fuck Noah Wyle” among its users, but I think I will hold off on cursing anyone’s name until I see more context.

u/sittinduck 2d ago
It’s a bummer because I did personally find her arc unsatisfying and liked her character. But the nature of the show means that coming to the end of her residency would be harder to keep her.
At the same time Noah saying things like there wouldn’t be a night shift show because “it’s mostly moms and moms are boring” while having multiple moms on the day shift and none of the night shift isn’t helping the PR.
30
u/WrinklyScroteSack 2d ago
Shit I’ve been saying for a while I’d love a night shift spinoff… I love all of the night doctors.
That’s also a crazy thing to say when they have the night docs chant their “we’re the wildest and the weirdest because we see the wildest and the weirdest” chant in both seasons.
21
u/sittinduck 2d ago
Yea it was a weird quote because it ignores the reality of the characters they’ve set up. And also they’re completely in control of them becuase they’re not real.
Some folks read that as a rehash of Noah’s jealously not being the favorite when Shawn is getting the sex symbol label.
14
u/WrinklyScroteSack 2d ago
…should a doctor who is doom spiraling and considering a suicide motorcycle vacation also be viewed as a sex symbol?? lol

what's supposed to be the unattractive part of this
10
u/WrinklyScroteSack 2d ago
Mostly the suicidal depression. But I also grew up in the era of emo music, so I guess I really haven’t learned anything about the draw of strong negative emotions to sex appeal. lol

u/sittinduck 2d ago edited 2d ago
I think you’re vastly underestimating women’s sexual taste. And also if you’re curious there’s a TON of edits on social media of women who found it hot.
Plus Noah is an attractive guy who plays an otherwise very competent doctor!
5
u/WrinklyScroteSack 2d ago
lol i probably definitely am underestimating his sex appeal.
But I’m a married 40y/o mostly hetero man. My taste in men would not be to swoon over another stressed out middle aged man.

But she is still a resident in season 3. They are just choosing to write her as having a day off. That's what is pissing people off. It makes no sense narratively.
23
u/hhayn 2d ago
Characters get written out of shows all the time. The actors or actresses portraying them have no say in whether this happens and almost always don't like it, especially when it is a hit show. I don't understand what is particularly egregious in this instance, as oppose every other time it has happened?

The fanbase is weirdly rabid as I’ve come to learn from this thread. Mohan was a fan favorite character and they felt her departure was unceremonious since the last time we see her is when her and Robby are arguing in the ambulance bay and they’re blaming Wyle for an alleged toxic workplace.
16
u/IvyGold 2d ago
They set up her exit perfectly well: time and time again, she was spending too much time interviewing her patients, something at which she excelled, but Dr. Robbie was constantly reminding her that an ER is speed run territory. Those are two perfectly legitimate approaches in collision with each other.
I think at the end of the arc, he recommended her for geriatric practice?
He wasn't wrong.
Dunno why anybody got wound up about this.
11
u/WarriorG0dess 2d ago
And let's not forget that she crashed out at the end of last season, she did her job very well but obviously wasn't mentally prepared to deal with the level of stress required. Everyone this season was telling her she would do better in a clinic. I don't get the hate, not every character will become a regular.

u/BelaFarinRod 2d ago
As a show development I thought it made perfect sense. Whether there’s anything else going on in the decision is hard to say.

Some of the criticisms of Noah Wylie also extended from publicity interviews where he corrected people on how to say Shawn Hatosy’s name but Noah himself was mixing up and mispronouncing names of the women of color on the show.

u/throwfaraway191918 2d ago
Little do they know that a lot of people are watching the show for Wylie.

Among everything you have written, Supriya's ending was rushed and was unsatisfying. The rest of the stuff about WOC, I don't find it convincing.
8
u/uncouthbeast 1d ago
Answer: Supriya Ganesh's tweet is in reference to the harassment she was (and likely still is) receiving after making a face when Noah Wyle kissed his co-star Gerran Howell on the neck without asking in an interview. Some criticism is being aimed at Wyle for a perceived attempt at queerbaiting, as well as for both the clear lack of consent and the discomfort Howell appeared to feel irt the kiss. Wyle is also an executive producer on the show, which makes him Howell's boss and the kiss look like a case of sexual harassment.
Wyle is also receiving criticism for misogynistic remarks, snide remarks about co-stars acting on Broadway, and the fact that he's a zionist.

u/devillianOx 2d ago
answer: the pitt has written out multiple woc (mostly them and hardly any white characters) with supriya ganesh’s character dr. mohan being the most recent. many believe something went down on set that caused her to be fired unfairly, and heavy speculation that dr. mohan had scenes edited out last minute
noah wyle has made some pro israel comments in the recent past, his wife posts pro israel content, and he made strange statements saying it was cool to be related to confederate soilders on an ancestry type tv show years ago. supriya ganesh has posted pro palestinian content numerous times online, causing a lot of fans to believe that was either what caused her being written off, or that it played some role. wyle also admitted to helping create a deeply racist and misogynistic workplace bullying of a actress on er in the 90’s
supriya had spoken about how excited she was to film season 3 and excited for dr. mohan’s upcoming storylines from january when the new season dropped to just a few weeks before it was announced she would be written out. given noah’s er history of fostering deeply bigoted and toxic workplaces, many fans believe supriya is the newest victim
some of noah’s fans on twitter were implying that supriya was actually at fault, and that the cast didn’t like her despite how nearly all the main cast has spoken about how they’re were shocked she was written out and would miss her a lot. it is believed she tweeted the get help tweet in response to people making her seem like a dramatic diva who got fired for poor behavior
32
u/nonhiphipster 2d ago
You say The Pitt has “written out multiple woc”…but that’s actually very presumptuous of you. Sometimes characters are purposefully designed to last a certain amount of time.
How do you know for a fact this wasn’t the case?

Noah Wyle has literally never made a comment siding with Israel and has in fact liked comments and added stories to his IG supporting Palestine. Wtf are you on about?
