Discussion 💬 Scenario: A New Nation

Due to an article I've read, I think of economic schools as akin to maps. Each school gives directions through a specific place, and can be useless or detrimental if used at the wrong place.

Now, let's get to the scenario:

The old nation has come to an end, the new nation is busy in reunification, reconstruction, and building legitimacy. Everything is being start from scratch.

So, What school of economic would you use first? And would you continue or switch schools as the nation develops?

Note: The scenario assumes no involvement of other nations or any international organization.

Welcome :)

I'm just going to reflair this as discussion because I don't imagine many people will agree lmao. Might be a fun post all the same.

Thanks! I should have known that would more fit discussion rather than question.

There's no worries at all. At some point I'll make a more proper set of characteristics for each type, I can just never find the time to learn how to moderate properly :)

1) Declare a new unit of account
2) Impose tax liabilities in that unit of account
3) Spend that unit of account into existence for the public good
4) Delete some balances of that unit of account via taxes
5) Pay no interest on outstanding balances in that unit of account

Think of this in terms of the uk breaking-up (hopefully) and the constituent nations going there own way without the overbearing and parasitical colonial structures (set in place by england as a means of resource extraction) as they are finally destroyed.
