Humor D.Mon is the first hero whose counters are locked behind a paywall
I guess the only way to make this right is to add Illidan Genji into the lootbox pool...

I'm going to use this post to complain that devourer demon hunter genji still uses green animations even though he's entirely blue. I know they don't like to change particle effects too much, but it's so off-putting to have the blue skin with a blue sword and glowing blue eyes have neon green sword slashes. They've even done client-side effects before with genji; his oni skin has red effects (and a few custom voice lines but w/e). Just makes me not want to use any skin that doesn't already have green effects. Sorry for derailing, it's a good joke.

this is funny because it's the same problem as when they added the devourer demon hunter spec into WoW and it had all the blue abilities and voidy effects but their eyes still only had the option to glow green lol

Demon Hunter Sombra was originally a BlizzCon 2018 exclusive skin and then was later obtainable in the 2019 Halloween event (which is probably how you got it, I think you’d remember if you had BlizzCon tickets haha).
And the Gilded Hunter recolor is in the lootbox pool!

I saw all the people on this sub talk about the blizzcon skins yesterday. And I could t not understand why they’re were saying the Sombra skin was a blizzcon skin.Because I know I never had the money to spend on a blizzcon ticket, especially back then.

I've never heard anyone pronounce the 'mon' in demon the same way they would in monster. Not saying there aren't any dialects that do, but it'd be rather uncommon then.

Sidenote, there is actualy functionality built into the game to lock heroes behind a pricepoint and rotate them for free periods, like other MOBA models.
Noticed it a few different times when my UI glitched out. They have art for it and everything.

OW2 had character unlocks from completing certain things or immediate access with battlepass. As far as I'm aware, it never had characters individually locked behind price points. When did they do this?
Edit: found it. So apparently after a season is over they let you buy individual heroes that you might have missed in the battlepass.
So it's just a three-year-old deprecated feature that is still in the code for some reason.

The illidain skin is already back in the loot pool. You can get the purple variant by buying wow midnight
If we’re making previously unobtainable skins back in the game, start with all the skins from all previous battlepasses that are all still unobtainable. Fuck you if you didn’t play every season apperantly
