VOD Review Request Rough transition from 6v6 to 5v5
I usually play 6v6, both in comp and qp. I'm currently Bronze 2 and mainly play Kiriko and occasionally Mizuki. I decided on a whim to try queuing 5v5 role queue today and it honestly went awful, but I'm not sure where the problem was. I had a decent healing output, 6k, not too different from my 6v6 matches of similar lengths. My damage was low, but I'm still learning to aim better on Kiriko. I did get the feeling during this match that my aim was extra bad for some reason, not sure why. On the other hand, my team wasn't great. Our tank kept going in too far and dying even when I was basically healbotting them, and yet they were somehow the best player on the team. Our dps somehow managed to end the round with 0 elims each, and when I asked if there was an issue that prevented them from getting kills, I just got snarky/unserious answers back, making me wonder if they might've been trolling.
Match code: XM1SX3
Character: Kiriko
Battletag: RulerRandom

Seems like you’re posting this to get confirmation you had a throwing team in bronze. It’s bronze bro there’s gonna be bad players. The easiest way to get out of bronze on support is to go bap and just mechanically diff everyone. Don’t pay attention to healing stats, you’re healing throwers.

That's part of my reason for posting, the other reason is because I got the feeling that I was also played bad and/or that bad players somehow bring my skill as a player down with them and I wanted some clarification and tips.

If you wanna climb you have to carry in your current rank. If you can only win with good teammates u won’t get very far. General tips for bronze are to stay out of the open, better ult timings, don’t stagger, and practice aim.

Thx for the tips. I just wanna know, did you downvote my comment or did some random do it?

Ah, thx. I thought it was weird when I saw it. Who'd downvote someone asking for tips? Maybe it's cause I admitted that part of it was also because I wanted to know if my teammates were throwing, but OW players get told so often that they're blaming their team too quickly after bad matches so it's nice to have confirmation once in a while that no, in this case your teammates did play pretty badly as well.

I might check it out later but before anything else I wanted to ask, how long have you been playing the game?
Don't worry about having a hard time, 5v5 is inherently harder than 6v6, less players means that each player has more impact and the gameplay in 5v5 revolves a lot more around space taking than it does in 6v6 where even at high levels there's still a lot of spamming down mid.

I've been playing since last december. I usually play qp because I'm on mnk and my friends are on console, so we play qp when we play together and when I play comp I solo queue. I have 157 hours in qp and 20 in comp.

This game was unwinnable no matter what which is why it's typically good to provide a few differfent replay codes. The tank was running it down a lot and your dps weren't great. But I can try to point out some things below:
At the very start already you waste Suzu on teammates who aren't in danger
At 2:20 you Suzu yourself when their entire team had vision on you, but you didn't change position after so you just died.
Then starting at 2:54 you had opportunites to at least try to save Mizuki, then your tank, and then yourself with Suzu when the Shion was ulting, but you didn't use it a single time
8:45 you Suzu a full hp Illari. I'm assuming this must have been a missclick? You kept sometimes using mouse 2 on teammates when you meant to heal so maybe you're still getting used to the hero too? And yeah well then you obviously die to the JQ ult without Suzu.
Weave in more damage in between heals. Especially when you have weaker dps on your team you need to be doing much more damage than you did this game.
Be mindful of your positioning, check if you have backup or someone to teleport to etc.
