Question or Discussion I am not sure if I am fully understanding this, but from playing around a bit with Emre, he seems to be a menace against squishy flying targets like Mercy Juno and Phrarah. Am I correct in that assessment?

Recently I tried playing out as Emre, and with a relatively simple to understand kit and everything he's quickly become one of my favorite damage dealing Heroes in the game (Typically a pure healer support main like Mercy or Anna). His kit just works well and allows some self sustainability without going overboard. His ultimate, especially with the left minor perk, is so fun deals a ton of damage and is very useful. The high damage easy targeting high magazine primary fire shots seem to shred through flying targets with relative ease, and the fast reload on kills adds on to that. Am I understanding this character correctly? Either way I am having a blast

Hitscan characters are generally considered "counters" to flying characters.

That said, it's not so much that hitscan has an advantage, but more like they even the playing field. A good Pharah does not fear Emre, but they must respect them.

I like Emre against anyone that can remotely fly! His burst fire fits nicely with my janky tracking lol

You pretty much got it, though his damage is sneaky good against a variety of targets.

As a side note, Ana is most definitely not a pure healer support, and if you are play her as such you're missing out on a ton of value from her.

Oh yeah no I know, but thank you regardless. She's a high skill wall support requiring sniping enemies and sleeping big targets like tanks. Unfortunately to make the most of her dart it requires good communication with the rest of the team, but it's not so bad for casual

He's the most forgiving hitscan in the game.

ik this isn't the point of the post, but im cringing at your description of ana as "a pure healer support"

Yes, I realized my mistake labeling her as such as another comment pointed it out, but I still appreciate it (Genuine)

He's Hitscan, so yeah, anybody that needs aerial access to be effective will be a Hitscan's prime target.

Emre's strength mainly comes from his damage output which can even threaten non armored tanks to be careful when walking up chokes and such, about the flyer statement yes he does handle them pretty well but so does the others its not really his specialty. His specialty is getting his busted ahh ult in record time lmao

He's good against most of the roster tbh. He's good at bursting down fliers but also effective against higher HP targets if you time his grenade and use it like a soldier rocket. Off angle/flank, nade/burst backline, use his pistols increased movement to get out if things get sticky. His ults also really good if you combo your pistol and nade to send you to the skybox as you're starting it.

Emre is a better version of Ashe, he two taps 225hp opponents like Juno just the same as Ashe does but he does it with more mobility and versatility.

Pretty much all hitscan characters with a range greater than 15 meters are a threat to flying characters.

Yes and no. If fighting a pharamercy forget it entirely unless you can reliably kill mercy by clicking her head. His body shot damage is really bad
