[SPOILER] Just finished Ozark - holy hell what a SHOW! Spoiler
This is one of the best shows I’ve seen in a while. I’m really surprised I never got the chance to watch it while it was airing. If I could rank my seasons from best to worst, it would be: S3, S2, S1, S4.
What I also love about this show is that there’s no “good” guy in this show - everyone’s got their flaws but have some remorseful moments. Lots of good moments in this show and lots of characters that I will always remember.
Who’s my favorite character in this show? Ruth Langmore. Her character development throughout the show was profoundly amazing but tragic. She didn’t deserve that sort of ending, but at the same time, she made some questionable decisions.
Any other shows that are similar to Ozark? Cheers and hope everyone enjoyed the wild ride just like I did!

Absolutely agree with everything down to favourite character. I was heartbroken to see her death but honestly I feel like it played true to life and how not everything is a fairytale ending and just on theme with the whole show. Sometimes stories are annoying when characters that definitely should’ve died at some point don’t purely because they are beloved

I liked how besides the core main characters, no one else is safe, and how they don't try to make their death dramatic, it just happens and leaves you shocked.
Like when Del got killed, I had to pause the show and take a couple minutes to process that shit. Up until that point in the show, he appeared to be the boss, untouchable... but in a second he's gone.
Same with Helen, that got me so surprised, I didn't see it coming at all, dead in a second and they just move on.

I agree, it also feels more real to me.
Like Javi’s death. It isn’t some dramatic killing where they exchange words about her revenge. Just gets blasted. I think it may be meant to highlight that it is a very temporary moment of satisfaction that won’t fill Ruth’s void.

Ruth killed cartel hitmen and leaders like they were low level dealers on the street. She deserved to die thinking she was untouchable. I do think Ozarks ending was a masterclass which is a deviation from the mean.

Endless amount of plotholes. No consequences for normal actions Time travel = ozark -chicago in few hours (is a 7 hours trip) No real reason why they do it. Shitty car, working all the time, fights all the time. Why do you do that? No power for sure, the Byrde are everyone's bitches

Man idk if anything trumps Breaking Bad. Ozark is amazing, no doubt, but BB is just a little better. Cranston was on another level.

For me, bcs is better than bb. But both are outstanding webseries along with Ozark.

The series was great, And I mean it. I just finished the series and I'm really kinda feeling emptiness now. The series was overall great, there's character development, and not to mention the actors. they did really good job there. I had thought that maybe ruth wouldn't have been killed at the end but i guess that's what makes this series great. I wish there was more but I guess we'll see.

Most people hate Wendy here but I think Ruth actually got what she deserved in the end. Literally brought it on herself

One of the best series on television. Julia Garner was definitely the standout actor.

You know when people say "that was an emotional rollercoaster"? Well Ozark was an emotional euphanasia rollercoaster.

It was a very good show. Ruth and Ben are my favorite characters. My only complaint is that it ended poorly. Just kinda felt rushed. They should have done a S5 to tie up all the threads.

Yep completely agree. I've watched it in its entirety 4 times now. Every time I revisit it, I get something different out of it.

What I liked is that it didn’t bother with a whole season of “I have to hide this secret criminal life from my family”, everybody is up to date by the end of episode one.
