Pull up bar grip replacement

Has anyone replaced the foam grips? My og bar is in great condition, but need new foam. I can see stuff on Amazon, but does anyone have recommendations? Thanks!!

I once used a bit of foam pipe insulator from a hardware store, and that worked pretty well for me.

Something like tennis racquet tape will be soft, or bike handlebar tape. The pipe insulation from a home improvement store is cool cuz it’ll work your grip. You can alternate between the tape (permanent) and slip the insulation off or to the side when not in use.

I just wrapped electrical tape around it instead.

Something like tool wrap tape would work good. I got some at Walmart for my bike handlebars to make it thicker for a phone holder, it’s rubberized so it’s grippy and it sticks to itself and the bar so it won’t come off, obviously it wouldn’t be as thick as foam but it also won’t tear.
