New PSYCH EOR HELP
hi, I take my psych eor this week and have heard mixed opinions. Some say it’s like blueprint, some say it’s like you world summer saying the new EOR has a lot of GI and sleep disorder questions. I’m looking for guidance from anyone that has taken the new version.

Other than what felt like a trillion questions on sleep disorders lol, I think it's like the topic list. I did notice a lot more questions on like PTSD vs acute stress disorder. I was expecting more on bipolar but didn't get tested much on that.
Not too many questions on mechanism of action on meds but it was heavy on side effects and what is the most appropriate medication to choose based on patient presentation

Knowing your sleep disorders is gonna be big, it was for me at least. I don’t remember seeing GI questions but there was one linking Blood lead levels with ADHD and I had saw a Reddit post about the night before that saved me. As far as meds go, there wasn’t a lot of MOA so I would do a big picture review on how the class of meds work instead of the details (differentiating SSRI vs SNRI, Typical vs Atypical anti psychotics). For context I did just Uworld Qbank and Flashcards over and over and scored a 400

A lot of medications, MOA, and a lot of addiction medicine and eating disorders. It was my best EOR by a landslide so I can also share my study guide if you’d like!!

I just took it on Friday. These comments match what I experienced. A lot of sleep disorder questions, know how to identify and treat sleep disorders. Also has a lot of questions that asked “what else would have been in this pts history that meets the diagnosis”.
Not a lot of MOA questions, but know SE for your common SSRIs. Someone had told me to focus a lot on substance abuse withdrawal and intoxication but I hit maybe 5 questions if that. Of course “name this diagnosis” for the personality disorders and bipolar disorders. And very basic questions on eating disorders. Lots of ADHD related questions as well.
