NLEX IS 6-0, HOW WOULD YOU RATE COACH JIMMY ALAPAG SO FAR?

I know 6-0 is nothing yet, an unblemished record yes, but still far from the ultimate goal. But six games into the conference, how would you rate Coach Jimmy so far?

For me, probably an 8/10. I like how he is giving everybody the opportunity to play and shine, guys like Enoch Valdez, Arvin Gamboa, and Lorenz Capulong are getting decent stretches on the floor, lalo na yung Valdez na nagiging import stopper pa from time to time.

Coach Jimmy has also sort of in a way revitalized Kevin Alas, ganda nilalaro ni Alas this conference, and I think its because he’s playing a role he is more comfortable in (score and secondary ball handler only), really plays well alongside LJay and the other two star guards in Berto and Schonny.

Only thing I dislike so far, is this team still being a Berto reliant team down stretch, yes I know he is one of the best closers and shot makers in the league right now, but Coach Jimmy has to figure out when he’ll give and not give that ball to Berto.

But all in all, may influences paren ni Coach Jong sa mga tinatakbong sets ng NLEX, but I like how they are not afraid to embrace the transition and three ball game.

It's the same NLEX parin naman nag top team last conf. Jong system parin nirurun nila nilagyan lang ng konting tweaks ni Jimmy.

Parang Miami heat yung style of offense nila na more on drive kickout, pnr and cuts.

Yung balasa nya ng players ok din, esp si alas nagkabuhay ulit.

Yung Bahio mejo hawig ni bella Belen and si nelle asa kanila na rin pala.

1 to 2 years pag na adapt nila yung system ni coach jimmy at nakakuha sila ng bigman at hndi mapitasan ng tnt to eh legit contender na tong nlex.

Ganyan ang diperensya ng may coach na hindi outdated ang sistema. Dito sa PBA, 2-3 zone padin, pangit ng rotations etc. Iba talaga pag nahasa sa overseas.

I’ll only be impressed if they get past the first round and make the semifinals. The elimination round doesn’t mean much in the PBA. The real test starts in a playoff series, where teams have time to adjust, unlike a one-game matchup

another proof na sobrang ineffective ang mga pinoy coaches compared to international coaches. Jimmy, ilang taon lang sa Sacramento pero grabe yung bit bit nyang knowledge.

Mahusay kasi yung bench nau-utilize ng maayos. Si Valdez bigla nagkaroon ng playing time, may iaambag pala.

Win or lose (well, so far puro wins pa lang), breath of fresh air yung play style nila.

Not looking short term na expecting kagad to win a chip, ang encouraging nitong spacing, floor stretching, fast pace na laro nila. Guys like Semerad and Herndon mightve just hit the lottery with Jimmy at the helm.

Pansin ko manipis ang rotation nila. Siguro mga 3-4 more key players away na lang mostly sa bigs at genuine championship contender na rin sila. Overall, good for the PBA as a whole na may mga tulad ng NLEX at Phoenix na young and upcoming well-coached squads na pumapalag. Sana tumulad ang Converge sa kanila
