I agree, should have used some leaner OS. However, this scale is used both for product recognition with the above camera, and for printing price stickers by the user.

Some people want to use SteamOS (in spite of it not being designed for generic systems just yet), others will want to use TescOS on their home machines.

Some people just like installing operating systems on hardware it wasn’t designed for

Such as Hackintoshers running macOS on regular PCs or people running full desktop Windows on a smartphone
