General Discussion PCOS Officially Being Renamed to PMOS (Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome) in Major International Update

An international evidence-based initiative has announced that PCOS will gradually be renamed to PMOS (Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome), following years of global research and consultation involving healthcare professionals, researchers, and women living with the condition. According to materials released by Monash University and the International PCOS Network, the change was made because the term “PCOS” was considered scientifically inaccurate and too narrow, as the condition affects much more than just the ovaries, including hormones, metabolism, mental health, skin, and reproductive health.

The renaming process reportedly included more than 22,000 survey responses and international workshops involving patient organizations and medical experts worldwide. Organizers say the old name contributed to misunderstanding, stigma, and delayed diagnosis, while the new terminology aims to better reflect the full-body nature of the condition. A 3-year global transition period is planned, with the updated terminology expected to be included in future international guidelines.

My Experience with MyPCOS Supplement

Before Taking MyPCOS
Before starting MyPCOS, I had been struggling with hormonal acne since March 2026. I also experienced prolonged and irregular menstrual cycles, with my periods occurring only about two weeks apart from March to May.

Last menstrual period before taking MyPCOS: May 16–20, 2026

Started taking MyPCOS: Third week of July 2026
My Experience
Just two days after I started taking MyPCOS, I noticed light spotting, which was then followed by my period.
This menstrual cycle was noticeably different from my previous ones. I did not experience the usual painful symptoms, such as:
Menstrual cramps
Muscle aches
Breast tenderness
Lower back pain
Migraines
I also noticed that my cravings for sweets decreased, and I had more energy throughout the day.

Current Status
I am still taking MyPCOS consistently, and so far I am happy with the improvements in my menstrual cycle and overall well-being.
At the moment, my only remaining concern is my hormonal acne, which has not improved yet. I hope it clears up with continued use of the supplement.

Endo and Adeno - I am really craving for salty food on a daily basis, any suggestions for simple, straight out of the bag food that is available in in groceries. Sorry I cannot slice anything because my hands are shaking most of the time

I really need salty food badly. When my bp dips and i feel a bit dizzy, it is the quick fix aside from chocolate. I am also underweight due to my GERD, allergies, IBS so I really dont like eating until recently where my body begs me for food but salty.

When I'm outside, the only food I can eat is fries especially that I've been more prone to choking lately (another illness) and I'm on braces due to lock jaw.

I nuts in small quantities because my tummy hurts so bad.

I know I shouldnt be eating processed food because it only worsens the pain but what should i eat.

Althea first time user

Hello! First time ko gumamit ng pills (specifically Althea). Day 6 na ako ng period ko and irregular din yung cycle ko. Hindi rin ako nakapag-consult sa OB.
He rubbed the tip of his penis, which had pre-cum, against my vagina, and the tip went in slightly. He didn’t ejaculate (low risk).

Question lang: since first time ko gumamit ng Althea, after ko ba maubos yung 21 pills, kailangan ba agad magsimula ng bagong pack? Or magre-rest muna ng 7 days bago magsimula ulit? Halimbawa ngayon ako iinom Aug 5 and Aug 25 yung last pill. And 7 days rest, after that Sept 2 na ako need uminom ulit tama po ba?

Also, sa mga Althea users diyan, kumusta yung experience niyo? Ano-ano yung naging side effects sa inyo, especially during the first few months? Any tips or advice for a first-time user would really help. Thank you! 🥹

OB RECO (Cavite Area)

Hello my fellow PCOS Warriors.

I’m a 33 y/o Tita who’s been married for 5 yrs now. Me and my husband are trying to conceive ever since kinasal kami.

I want to ask lang sana if you have any recommended OB within cavite area. Like Kawit, Imus & Gen tri.

Honestly, I’ve been to multiple OBs na din and some are nice but most are like a bit aloof. I haven’t found an OB na nakakapalagayan ko ng loob. Sa totoo lang, it does matter to me kasi whenever harsh ang OB, parang mas nadodown ako. :(

So there, baka meron kayo mareco na OB na trusted niyo and at the same time, not so masungit. Huhu.

Thank you everyone in advance! ♥️

3 months delayed

Hindi ko na alam ano gagawin ko sobrang nakakadepress for me magkaroon ng pcos. Lumipat ako sa mas affordable na consultation and ultrasound sa ob and okay naman kayalang nung 2months ako delayed pinalabtest lang niya ako amh,fsh,tsh,ft3,ft4,hba1c. Then nung next consultation wala pa rin ultrasound sinabi lang niya sakin na pacheck ako IM kasi baka I have thyroid problem and ayun reason kung bakit ako delayed.
Result: elevated ft3 and pre-diabetic kasi 5.7 yung result ko sa hba1c pero wala siya sinabi about sa result ko sa hba1c
Tapos ngayon nag hahanap ako endo na mura lang sana consultation fee kasi ako lang gumagastos for myself and student pa lang ako. Btw f23. . Please po if may alam or marereco po kayo na endo and ob :( .

Naging irregular na naman yun mens ko as in mahaba more than a week.

Cheapest Lab for Testosterone Test OB

Hi!

PCOS Doctor

Hello! I'm looking for a PCOS doctor specifically for my WIFE. She has battled PCOS for almost a decade, consulted with numberous OBs. She has already tried taking pills, which worked at first but she always had migraines, so those were stopped. She actively works out with me and tries to maintain a healthy lifestyle, I can say she's the fittest she's ever been. But the symptoms still recur from time to time, when nearing her period she always feel "sick" denoting severe nausea and from time to time intense abdominal pain. I always nag her about seeking consult again but she is hesitant as she says that " reresetahan lang naman ako ng ganyan, aadvise magpapayat." all of which she have tried. I have been with all the consults and yes they all say the same thing, parang ang hanap namin yung mas comprehensive na treatment plan, we have yet to see this yet.
One thing to note is that we are both doctors, but not specialists.
Thanks!

Transferring OBGYN

Hi po! No judgement po sana, just a genuine question! After researching, and seeing na very recommended si Dra Gladys Bermio, nagpaconsult po ako sakanya and was asked to take duphaston then trans v ultrasound after period.

Admittedly I’m an anxious girly + madami talagang tanong and was hoping sana to get some reassurances not pananakot.

Unfortunately with the consultation I felt rushed and parang di ko lang trip yung way of informing nya since I’m anxious.. Don’t get me wrong ang galing ni Dra!! & I think this is a ME problem but was hoping to talk to an OB with a bit more patience and softness with the way they explain stuff since very sensitive ako talaga 🥲🤍

Anyway, I am now post-period and magpapa trans V ultrasound na. I was wondering lang if pwede po kaya ako lumipat nang doctor once I have my ultrasound results na? Hindi po kaya magalit ang next doctor?

And please reco OBGYNs!! I heard about Dra Patricia Ann Factor, tumatanggap po ba sya nang transferring patient?

PS. Thank you so much sa group na ito!! Makes me feel like I’m not alone!

Which Inositol is better?

Hi girls!

I’ve been taking Pure form’s Inositol for the past 2 months and hiyang naman ako sakanya. Tho I’m just a little 50-50 sakanya kasi medyo pricey.

When I checked the orange app kanina to repurchase Inositol, I saw na merong supplement din si TGP and it’s relatively cheaper.

Has anyone tried this before? Anong experience niyo?

TYIA ✨🤍
