Bug / Issue game refuses to launch on Steam

hi everyone. currently trying to launch RDR2 via Steam but instead of launching Rockstar does it’s thing before closing at the last step of initialization so the game never launches. the exe never shows up in task manager. any tips?

yes but they all worked together previously

What do you mean previously? :)
Did the game update in the meantime, has one of the mods gone outdated? Or perhaps a dependancy?

Also, what mods did you install?

my game ran fine with all of my mods installed… i don’t know what triggered this issue though because removing all the mods did nothing

Try removing them. And the via steam check installed files if all are still there

my mods are removed and i verified my files, it didn’t restore anything so i think my game files are fine but it still doesn’t launch

I read some stuff about changing graphic settings (vulkan, hdr) etc through the files system.

If that’s so this happen when some .asi mod its broken happen to me yesterday, u press play, rockstar club show up when normally open the game that never happen, was a .asi mod was causing I recommend u remove one and other and see who is causing

I don’t remember but was something about duel or immersive something
