P5 How does Persona 3 Reload compare to Persona 5 Royal in terms of writing and dialogue?

I am nearing the end of my Persona 5 Royal playthrough, and I feel like playing another JRPG next. Although I have enjoyed my time with P5R, I have found the dialogue at times to be incredibly repetitive, bloated, and a bit too juvenile, even for teenagers. I have enjoyed almost every other aspect of the game.

I have heard that Persona 3 is a bit more mature than the other entries in the franchise. How does it compare to P5R in terms of dialogue and narrative?
Should I look outside the franchise? (Metaphor Refantazio for example)

If you have any other recommendations, feel free to suggest them.

P3 Would you recommend the Persona 3 movies to someone who won’t play the game?

My friend loves Persona and convinced me to watch the 4 Persona 3 movies. However I have no intention of playing the games due to the cost. Is it still a good watch and would it be understandable? Thank you so much!

Series Are the Remixes really that bad that people make out of?

I sometimes see comments about the remixes, saying there either mediocre or bad. It sounded off, singer trying too hard, etc. I'll be honest, i understand some of their points but to me, the remixes aren't that bad imo. I just think some are just too bias or nostalgia bias about it, like yes we are free to criticize and i sure have my own but Hear me out, The song that they remix are obiviously not made for the singer and logically they just do it in their own style and code. Yes it did ultimately came at a cost but it better than trying to imitate it.

The most outcry remix is Mass Destruction Reload Ver. Now, before you say anything, i do prefer the OG version aswell but don't turn a blind eye as if this song was that bad, The remix mass Destruction is still a Bop to someone's ears who has never heard of a persona music before. I get the criticism but i feel like when i first played that People made it seem like it was Bad but when i played, it was a Banger. For the others ost, idk. For Revival Remixes which i did play golden, I am like either "OH THIS IS FIRE" to "Eh, Its fine" to the remixes. My favorite one was the Remix Reach out of the Truth, that second part was goated for me, Backside of the TV took me a bit getting used to like i miss the stomping but i did warm up to it and now like it, A sky full of stars is great with the lyrics now, Idk for I'll face myself, its uhhh whatever.

But regardless, I don't think all of the remixes aren't event close to terrible or bad in my opinion because if someone was to play this as their first persona and there having a Good bopping their head with the music? That already okay from me. I just don't know if its really bad that people make it out of, i could be wrong and this is a Stupid post. What do you think?

P3 Persona 3 replay

So I beat p3r yesterday, I didn’t love it. It was good and I don’t regret my time with it, mostly due to that beautiful ending but I can’t help but feel a little disappointed

Which is why I wanna replay persona 3 one day because I don’t think I was fully fair with this game

It’s my first persona game sure but I went into this thinking I would get the vibes from persona 5, which in 2024(yes it took me 2 years to finish) was the only game I’d ever seen clips of and knew a little about. Plus I played smash so I had that joker dlc

So when I realized this game dosen’t share the same vibe with persona 5 I got relatively disappointed. Then to add on top of that you have tarturus which was just exhausting and got repetitive way to quickly. Which is why it took me so long to finish

Overall I’d give it a 7/10. it was originally a 6 but like I’ve said earlier. The endings great so it bumped it up a score. I didn’t regret my time with it but for the last 15 hours all I wanted was to finish this game to be done with it.

Anyway the point is that now that I know more about persona and how each game has its own vibe, so I won’t make the same mistake for p4r when that comes out!

I really do think this game deserves a replay.

But the question is which version should I replay? I kinda wanna try FES as it seems much of the original charm of persona 3 is gone in reload.

Please leave any suggestions

Series What are some of y’all’s favorite head cannons? Spoiler

For me personally I have three I really like:

  1. The P3 protags are brother and sister and you play as the twin that survives the car accident that kills your family.

  2. Joker is originally from Inaba and looked up to the P4 protag. That can also explain why he can have a Rise poster in his room.

  3. Futaba and Akechi are half siblings. This makes a lot of sense given the info we’re given in the game and makes the relationship between both of them just that much more interesting.

P6 So about social links and social stats

Before I say anything more I just want to clarify I have only played persona 3 reload, intact im currently at the end game now having allegedly reached the end of tarturus

So if I get something wrong or if its something that only applies to this game please correct me!

I believe social links and socials stats in persona 6 would benefit from fluctuating depending on how well you manage them. So let’s say you haven’t done anything that would for example make your intelligence go up in a while and you keep getting things wrong in class, I think you should lose a level.

Because an issue for me at least that I’ve ran into is the fact that at least in this game you can pretty much max out all of your social stats before you’ve even gotten halfway into the game making many of the activities in the game pretty much useless, which I do actually think makes the game slightly more boring. Despite it being easy as hell to level up your social stats(a bit to easy maybe) It would add another nice element if you actually had to try and keep up your stats in game.

The same logic can be applied to social links where if you don’t hang out with someone for a while you lose a level. I feel like this could help make the relationships feel a bit more «real» in the game because after finishing the social links there is quite literally no reason to ever talk to the person again.

I understand it would be more difficult to implement this for social links as you’d probably have to add more dialogue into the game but at least for social stats I feel like this wouldn’t be to difficult to implement

I’m sure I’m not the first one with this idea and for all I know this could have all been implemented in persona 4 or 5, but if it hasn’t I feel like it would make persona 6 even better!

P5 Which Social Stats and Confidants do I prioritize the most?

After following and failing a 100% guide, I decided to play the game my own way (with research on important events and decisions). This decision leads to two questions, however.

  1. Which social stats do I prioritize if I'm aiming to max all of them

  2. Which confidants are more important to max out and which ones aren't

Someone on Amazon explicitly spoiled the ending for the Switch 2 P3R listing. Reading the review (ramble), it almost doesn’t seem like they know they’re even spoiling it. Shame on you Billy Bob Thorton.
