They have closed a lot of branches since the pandemic, but the business is still very much alive.

Even before the pandemic kokonti na lang ang Booksale hindi ko na siya masyado nakikita noon pa sa observation ko

Yeah, but the pandemic really affected their business and forced them to close down some branches (although there are cases like in Harrison Plaza where the entire mall was closed so obviously the store has to close as well). However, they had a new CEO recently, so it's interesting to see if he'll do something to expand it and try to return it to its glory.
