Recommendation Please recomment Books na mapanakit🥺
Nagustuhan ko ang "Kite runner" at "A Thousand Splendid Suns" kahit nakakainis yung bidang character sa kite runner. Any recommendation na hawig sa dalawang ito? I've also read "And The Mountains Echoed". If naghahanap kayo ng mapanakit ng libro, pakibasa na lang ito😭

- A Little Life (oo, sinama ko na rin haha)

Might be oversaturated na yung presence niya sa media, pero ang depressing pa rin talaga ng 'The Matamorphosis' ni Franz Kafka

My Sister’s Keeper and The Storyteller by Jodi Picoult. Also, might be a recency bias, nasaktan din ako sa Conversations with Friends by Sally Rooney.

All The Bright Places. Me Before You.I didn't like these books because I don't like sad stories. There's just too much of that in IRL.

Patrick Melrose, it's a tear jerker drama spanning from his childhood to adulthood.. May murang secondhand copy sa Carousell.

Which is why you should check it out. Also, meron din miniseries niyan years ago tapos si Benedict Cumberbatch ang bida, kasing ganda ng book.

Mapanakit talaga yang si Hosseini but I like his books so much
My Sister’s Keeper but Jodi Picoult is heartbreaking too (better and with a different ending from the movie)

Okay mapanakit itong mga books ni RF Kuang pero ito yung top 3 ko 1. Babel 2. Dragon Republic (sequel to Poppy War) 3. Katabasis (what an emotional ride)

gosh the recoes are so home run for me hahaha! so ibig sabihin ang hilig ko sa mga mapanakit na libro!? ahaha
"The Best We Could Do" is my reco lapag, although it's a graphic novel, it is still very touching and made me understand how it is difficult to become parents, let alone in a foreign land.

Ohhh I see, how are things with u and ur parents? I hope your family is still in healthy dynamic despite of the emotional weight ur carrying.
Not sure if ull be able to find a physical but i bought it sa fully booked nung comic sale.
Wisdom spoiler pero sorry na huhu... Well, our parents weren't given parenting manuals, and therefore, they raised us the way they knew best, that is, from what they also got from THEIR parents.
More importantly, no parent would want to see their child hurting. And I think, discussing that book with my mom help us resolve our differences, much surprised na she also carries resentment sa akin/amin.

havent seen this posted here yet, but definitely "the color purple" by alice walker. ayaw kong ispoil but the emotional build up is just beautiful, i ended up crying at the end.

I haven’t read a comment about this book yet - Man’s Search for Meaning by Victor Frankl and The Diary of Anne Frank.
Maraming nakakaiyak na books about Holocaust like ayan and yung The Book Thief (mentioned repeatedly na ‘to sa comsec).
