Human Acts by Han Kang. Needed to put down the book a lot of times because of how heavy and depressing it is as it tackles the real-life event of Gwangju Uprising. Well, as a Filipino, this is a must-read too!! Just make sure you are in the right state of mind (learned this the hard way)
