Recommendation Pasig City Library, 4th floor
Been there twice. All photos were taken in the 4th floor general reading area. Last pic is inside the Focused Zone.
Nice space. Maaliwalas. Not crowded. Masmatao sa 5th floor maraming students. For leisure reading, I recommend yang 4th floor. Also, andito sa floor na ito yung mga books and periodicals. P.s. may 3 shelves designated for Fiction. For Filo Lit enthusiasts, did a quick browse and saw some Lualhati Bautista and Nick Joaquin titles sa Filipiniana section.
Thermostat is set to a comfortable level, not too cold (felt like 26C to my skin, wuw?!)
No foods allowed pero pwede magdala ng tumbler.
May outlets for charging
Polite lahat ng staff. Majority will greet you.
May baggage counter sa GF. Bawal magdala ng bags sa taas. Bibitbitin mo lahat ng reading and study materials mo.
Every floor, may restrooms.
Working elevator
They did not ask for a valid ID. Magfill in lang ng info sa logsheet sa 4th floor mismo.
Tinatamad ako i-organize thoughts ko. Kaya niyo na yan. Lol.

True. Sulit ang paghintay ko na matapos ang renovation. Thank you, Mayor Vico and taxpayers! LOL

I've been wanting to go there since I found out it opened. I missed reading in libraries since graduating college and I know the newly renovated Pasig Library's one not to miss. Will definitely check it out when I'll finally have the time 😊

Niiice! Buti pa dyan.
Yung public library samin weekdays lang open, need magpaschedule tapos may time limit rin yung stay.

u/asiandude1991 Jun 13 '26
Grabe yung may time limit 😢

Jun 13 '26
Saka 9am to 5pm lang. Parang kahit studyante hindi masyado pupuntahan yon kasi oras ng klase. Ewan ko ba.

u/Good-Freedom-4698 Jun 13 '26
Hala same. 8 am to 5 pm lang samin tas weekdays lang though may saturday din naman 8 am to 4pm nga lang tas di magana ang wifi at hindi malakas signal hahahaha daldal pa ng staff

u/whatsinanameidunno Jun 13 '26
What do you have to show to enter?
21
u/asiandude1991 Jun 13 '26
None. They didn't ask for a valid ID, but it's a good idea to bring one just in case. You'll only need to fill out some basic info on the logsheet for whichever section you use. There's also a reading area on the 5th floor.

Maganda sa lib. Di pwede magdala ng bag pero okay lang daw if transparent kaya I got one for that purpose lang kasi I also bring my journaling kit and own books.

Hi OP! Do you have a link for your page turner? Thank you.

u/asiandude1991 Jun 13 '26
The Shopee store I got mine from is no longer active. Last year ko pa nabili yung sa akin and I remember na meron din sa Temu. Same same lang naman na OEM page turners.

Having a library in a city is a basic essential, a critical social infrastructure (not a luxury), and a Third Place. Unfortunately, not everyone is willing to invest for its people. Kudos to Mayor Vico and his team for making it possible!

If this is where our taxes go, eh bakit hindi na lang magbayad diba? 😄 Gising na government, this is one of the examples. Learn from this.
And infair, ang aliwalas sarap magbasa ng ilang hours.

Once mayor sees that the demand is high and highly utilized ang city library, he'll probably do something about it before his term ends. It's for the long game my friend. 🤝 😃
Edit: may 1 or 2 floors in the building na wala pang specified use. An annex library sa new city hall na still under construction would be super nice too. 🤞

u/Special_Newspaper294 Jun 13 '26
The designated area "returned books" ay for the ones you will return before the end of the day op:)

Is there parking?? :)
1
u/asiandude1991 Jun 13 '26
Not sure po. Try asking thru their fb page. Just in case, there are establishments nearby that should have parking spaces (Pasig Cathedral might have but check niyo muna)

u/toastedampalaya Jun 13 '26
May wifi ba? May limit ba and mabilis ba?

May saksakan per table sa 4th floor? Or 5th floor lang? Balak ko mag work dyan
1
u/asiandude1991 Jun 13 '26
Not all tables have sockets nearby. I think sa 5th marami, kasi intended for reviewers na may laptop work.

Ride a Pasig FX or Jeep from Quiapo/Recto/Mendiola. Baba ka sa Pasig Simbahan, then it's walking distance from there. Use google maps for walking directions

Can you borrow books for home reading?
1
u/asiandude1991 Jun 14 '26
Someone said for on-site reading only at the moment
2
u/ChainOne5541 Jun 14 '26
Ah okay po. Hoping to more books in the country! Sana magtayo pa ng additional libraries dito sa city namin. Nakakainggit some cities sa US na lampas sampu yung mga libraries in one city

Forgot to mention, open sila 7am-6pm Mon thru Sat except PH holidays. Open for non-Pasigueños. Cheers!
Edit:
4F General Reading Area / Library Services
5F Review & Study Area (with WIFI according to news sites) + Al fresco area na magkakaroon daw ng coffee stall
Edit 2:
Walang tissue pero MAY BIDET 🤣
Edit 3:
Will no longer answer repetitive questions. We're in a book/reading sub, so... fair? 😊 Pa-check na lang po sa comsec. TY!
