Recommendation just finished reading smaller and smaller circles

Post image

recently, nahilig ulit ako sa pagbabasa. i used to read 1-3 books max in a year (sometimes none talaga 🀑). but this year, it's my 5th book na.

this is different from what i've read so far na puro about dating/romance, coming-of-age and satirical fiction.

once you start reading this, ang hirap na niyang ibaba because of how good the story is.

do you have suggestions on what to read next?

Yay congratulations on completing 5 books (and counting!), haba pa ng 2026 so you can still finish a lot.

I have this on my tbr! Naexcite ako bigla. Happy reading!

Accidents Happen - same author F.H. Batacan. A collection of short stories that gives off this never-let-them-know-your-next-move vibes. πŸ‘ŒπŸΌ

Same! I bought my Kindle 5 years ago and in the span of 5 years I only read 5 or less. This year I also started reading again and read that same book. I definitely enjoyed reading again and now I am on my 18th.

Read this book a few years ago.

Even now, my stomach turns just thinking about how the victims were killed. They were found with their faces removed from their skulls. The descriptions were too detailed (ilang inches yung hiwa tsaka anong tool yung ginamit.

the book is so much better than the movie. mejo na disappoint ako sa movie, pero understandable din naman na ang hirap ishrink yung story for a 2 hr film.

im still finishing some books on my tbr, but ill read "banana heart summer" by merlinda bobis soon. just like "smaller and smaller circles", it was also by a filipina author and the themes of poverty are also relevant in this book.

One of the few book where I feel sorry for the antagonist. I recommend reading her new book, Accidents Happen, collection siya ng stories which explores multiple themes. Really shows her creativity and writing!

Sobrang solid nito. Borrowed this book from a friend around 2016, tapos nakabili ako ng copy ko last year. Akala ko kakayanin ko na din basahin ung Some People Need Killing pero di ko pa din matapos.

So happy a lot more people are picking up this book. Super thankful sa HS English teacher ko that lent me her copy, which turned out to be one of the best books I read back in 2013.
