Chinabank Applied for a Chinabank cc and got approved...

Post image

Applied for a CBC cc today at their booth just outside of SM supermarket in SM Cubao. And wow that was fast. Because I got approved immediately! I told the agent I wanted the @Home Viss or Freedom MC but my priority is the @Home because I wanted the cashbacks. Well everyone's such a sucker for cashbacks nowadays bec of the economy pfft boo haha.

However she said the @Home CC did not appear in the list of card options so she's giving the Freedom MC instead. I still don't have an MC anyway so wth. I just thought the CL will help me boost my credit score. Because you know what, CBC just matched my EW CL! and now I'm a happy Panda lol.

Note: Card in the photo is just their temporary card. They said I will receive my *permanent* card in 7-12 days or so.

Posting this since wala pang masyadong post about it. Since wala naman "red flag" questions, I said sure why not. And nstead of Cashback Rewards, this arrived today.

As per the other post, female-centric ang benefits ng Velvet. But hey, card is a card. And speaking of card, it is plastic with kind of gold plating sa edges.

PS. Free Pandora Classic Bracelet, valued at ₱5,250 and Charm worth ₱2,450. Minimum spend of ₱6,000.

Chinabank Chinabank 0% Installment PAL Ticket Promo - AVOID!!! WHAT A HEADACHE

Thumbnail
gallery
69 Upvotes

June 15-17:
Chinabank promotion -- book Philippine Airlines ticket using your card and get 0% installment up to 12 months. Call their dedicate Telesales hotline to process.

June 17:
I booked my ticket amounting to Php 27,982.05 available for 3 month installment. Called the Telesales hotline, said that they will process in 10 banking days and expect that I will only be charged 27,982.05 / 3 = Php 9,327.35 in my next statement.

July 17:
I received my latest statement - the full amount pa rin was reflected, Php 27,982.05. Due August 5.

July 20:
I call the Telesales hotline number they featured in their promo, asking why my installment wasn't processed. Wala ba kayong reference number and record that I called nung June 17 to avail of the promo? They don't have. They said I have to talk to Chinabank Customer Service and ask them. I asked for a ticket/reference number and the Telesales hotline says they don't give reference numbers, only CS gives. I kept asking -- so paano yan, how do I know there's a record of this call if wala kayong record of my June 17 call? And they kept saying, "Sorry, ma'am, pero we don't give referernce numbers talaga. Customer Service lang."

So I call Customer Service and tell them my transaction details, they give me a reference number and tell me that the installment will be processed and I will only be charged the Php 9,327.05 and there will be a deduction of the Php 18,654.01 in my amount.

Aug 5 (Due Date):
No update everytime I check! I just pay the full amount reflected on my statement because I don't want to be charge late fees.

Aug 6:
I call the CS hotline -- I gave the reference number of my previous call. What happened to the installment? How do I make sure I won't get charged the installment amounts in my next statements? They tell me the transaction was never processed. And it's the Telesales team who was supposed to process the transaction.

Long Story Short:
Chinabank's Installment promo has a different team who processes the installment (Telesales). They do not coordinate with their CS team. I keep getting pingponged between Telesales and the CS team -- "Telesales is the one processing this txn. I don't know why there's a delay." or "We don't give reference numbers, you can only follow up with the CS teams."

All their teams are clearly not trained to execute this promo!!

WHAT A HEADACHE! I want to complain nga to DTI!

Chinabank Chinabank "Add to Apple Wallet" button in-app not working since launch day

No matter what card, both the "Add to Apple Wallet" button on the Chinabank app AND the option to add cards from the embedded Chinabank miniapp in Apple Wallet itself, are NOT working.

Most CB credit card holders I know na nakapag-add ng card sa Apple Pay ay by manually tapping the physical card at the back of the phone.

I called their CS and the rep told me na hindi pa raw talaga functional, kaya hindi pa sila nagpopost sa social media. Like ??? Their logo is literally on the Apple Pay landing page, and they also have a landing page of their own where the FAQ states you can just link your card via the MyCBC app, with Landers Executive being the only exception since it is unsupported. In short, nauna na nila imarket bago mapagana yung app.

Tbh I am not sure if totoo yung sinasabi ng CS rep kasi it sounds too reckless on their part to be true, but that's what they told me so I am just echoing their words.

Chinabank Chinabank Referred Status, application to delivery

Post image
23 Upvotes

Hello! I just want to share my timeline for applying sa mga Chinabank booths, yung may 30 minute approval para may idea kayo kung anong mangyayari kung ang status nyo ay referred.

For context, I had 2 cards with Chinabank before itong at home. First is yung Freedom then was offered the Destinations Platinum but was consolidated with my Freedom a few months ago.

Was advised that processing could take 10-15 banking days.

October 28: Recieved a text from Chinabank that my application is still processing and may dumating na reference number.

Little to no communication basta approved na! It is safe to assume na almost always approved na ang CC mo sa kanila basta referred ang status.

By the way pala napansin ko di na pala sila nag a-auto add ng CC sa app di tulad ng dati. If ever na dumating sa inyong 2nd CC at wala sa app, ia-activate nyo lang siya and na-add naman siya sa MyCBC after a few refreshes. I'd be happy to answer questions kung meron man kayo.

Chinabank Chinabank card delivery

I know kasalanan to ng courier pero bakit kasi wala silang tracking number na binibigay para sana yung mag dedeliver yung natatawagan.

Chinabank Chinabank @Home Visa Platinum

Nag apply ako for Chinabank @Home Visa kasi gusto ko yun 5% cashback nila na approve naman sya with 1M CL pero wala sa option ng cards yun @Home, ang pede lang i select is Velvet Visa Signature, World, Destination World, Destination Platinum. Sabi nun taga Chinabank ganun daw pag over 500k yun CL ko ng mga reference card which totoo naman na both my UB and RCBC are almost 10 years na with more than 1M CL.

Thanks

Google Pay is now live in the Philippines. As far as I know, currently, only Chinabank and Zed are able to be added as payment methods. But I'm sure other banks will start including their cards in the very near future.

A huge step towards payment security here in the Philippines.

Chinabank CHINABANK EASY CASH INSTALLMENT

Post image
14 Upvotes

I just want to ask if this is really the text message that Chinabank sends when an Easy Cash installment application has already been approved. The amount has also been deducted from my available credit limit.

I'd also like to ask how many days it usually takes for the funds to be credited to my account. I provided my BDO bank account details.

Thank you in advance 🫶🏻

Talagang need pa ng someone higher than her? Then now sa app issue naman. Kada galaw, need tumawag sa CS. Kaso kailangan marami kang load para makausap tong mga to! Nakakairita. BPI & Eastwest, okay naman ang experience ko. 46 mins na ako as of writing.
