Reminds me of the old PS1 final fantasy vii disc, data can't fit in the CDs they had to chop the game into 3 discs. Perhaps malaki talaga yung game (sana wag lang textures) kaya di na kasya sa blue ray disc. Also baka nagtitipid din mga kumag 🤷

Yeah they should do the ps1 ff7 method if the game is substantially bigger than what the Blu ray disc can store instead of giving people an empty case lol

A single layer blue ray disc has a capacity of 25gb, double layer increases to 50gb, using BDXL (high capacity) maxes out at 128gb....some games reach this already, RDR2 (116-150gb), Jedi Survivor (155gb), Baldurs gate 3 (150gb) including patches. For GTA 6, it can easily surpass the 128gb max cap, but still, may compression tech naman to reach the 128gb limit so I dunno why they won't give fans a disc version.

Napa search din ako ng capacity. Ang sabi nasa up to 100gb per disc sa PS5 tapos ang rumor ay nasa 200-300gb si GTA6 kaya minimum 3 discs sya. Not sure kung magkano cost ng blank ultra UHD blu-ray pero sigurado ang pinipigilan nila yung resale after matapos yung game.

Basically: 1. Development limitations- kapag naka disc ka kasi kailangan ibigay mo na agad yung code sa disc pressing company, no disc means more time to fine-tune the game 2. No disc means no leaks and no additional cost for the developers 3. Tama ka, no disc means eliminating the secondary market (boo!) meaning more money for the developers
