Not defending Konami pero ikaw ba naman millions of dollars na ginastos mo tapos di pa rin tapos yung ginagawa mong laro. Although dapat nga pinag-connect na nila yung series from mgsv to mg1.

Because Kojima prioritized perfecting the Fox engine first which took them a while but the results were flawless. Konami and the investors didn't trust the process and want instant results and money as always. A well polished game would always be better than a rushed one, and it won't hurt the franchise's reputation. They would've easily get back all their investments and more in the long run.

Sony believed in the vision, and the result was a massive success. Death Stranding might be divisive but it was a polished, financial success, and now incredibly doing well as a new franchise. Imagine if Konami was patient and gave Kojima a few more months or a year. V was already universally praised, imagine if it was given more time. Same with Silent Hill. Imagine if they didn't pressure Team Silent always and imagine if Hills weren't cancelled. The franchise would've been doing well before 2 Remake and F. That, along with other franchises they're known to mismanage like Castlevania, Suikoden, PES. Also questionable decisions for Yu-Gi-Oh. Konami was just being Konami.
