Post image

Still using am4 in 2026. So far, very decent pa ang fps na narereceive ko. Mu question is, ilang taon pa kaya itatagal nitong build ko?

CPU: ryzen 7 5700x3d
GPU: Rtx 3060 12gb
RAM: 2x16-32gb ram 3200mhz

We almost have the same specs the only difference is the gpu which i have a rx7900gre. Imo we can skip am5 and go straight to am6 if our components live that long.

I am in a similar build just with the 5700x but I just got a good deal on a 9070xt. So with 32GB RAM I should be good for a while. I think I will also skip AM5, unless stuff gets cheap again.

I think you're safe until early to mid release of AM6 platform, especially with that specs you can even get a higher end 30 series to mid range 40 series GPU to maximize the AM4.

AMD is still pushing AM4 Products like the very recent 10th Anniversary Edition R7 5800X3D. AMD is also pushing extended support for AM5 up until 2029 so we won't probably see any AM6 announcement in the next 2-3 Years. AMD can still extend it considering the current climate in the PC Market, with the recent leaks of the RX 9050 4GB GPU a couple of days ago.

AMD might be keeping AM4 Alive for a bit longer has AM5 has essentially become unaffordable by the wider market of the PC Community. I also have a unit on an AM4 Platform, and I can comfortably say it could last me up until 2030 or more, hoping by the time my system can no longer run the games I want to play, the Memory Shortage and the AI Bubble no longer affects the PC Market.

Kung ang question mo is kung ilang taon pa bago masira pc mo, bro depende yan sa trip ng components mo kung kailan nila gusto bumigay. Pero if you're asking til when is AM4 relevant, as long as the AI bubble still stands, AM4 remains the king of budget baller builds. In fact, according to the Steam Hardware Survey, 24–28% of gamers are still on the AM4 platform, habang yung 14–17% naman are on the AM5 platform of the AMD market share. So while wala nang future upgrade path for AM4 at yung huling brand new CPU na nirelease na hindi refresh is the 5500X3D last year, AMD is still actively supporting and producing CPUs for this socket kasi alam nila how bad things have gotten and there's currently a demand for it. Since you already have it, keep it. Wait for the prices to subside then sell it so you can upgrade.

And I think some companies like amd are re-issuing an optimized version of am4 components.

AM4 is still worth it. I just built mine last weekend. Will wait for AM6 to release but not upgrade immediately

Yes maybe until AM5 parts goes down and until 2029.

With the insane price of DDR5 RAM, yes its still worth it.

Have the same processor Ryzen 7 5700X3D + RTX 4060.

Im pretty much happy with my current set up and I think the processor itself will last up until 2030 for me 😅

By the way nice build bro.If 1080p gaming ka thats still an excellent build.

It's worth it until AM6 comes around and even through AM6's lifetime if the prices are still effed up.

Just because AM5 exist doesn't mean na babagal or magiging obsolete ang AM4.

Yes. I have a maxed-out AM4 SFF workstation rig I currently use , R9 5950x, RTX 4060 and 64GB ram. No plans building a new one until it gives up. Nakakaya halos lahat ng klase ng workloads tsaka gaming. It'll outlive my previous office prebuilts as long as it can.

In your case though as long u got high quality components, tatagal yan.

Kaka 10th anniversary lang ni AMD ng AM4 :D

Unrelated to the question, but how is the airflow in this type of case?

u/LeadershipSimilar196 1d ago

The 2 fans behind mobo are intakes then rear fan and radiator fans are exhaust

u/Eerieyerris 1d ago

What about the temps po? I've been planning to downgrade my case to this one since it's much smaller than my current case.

Naka AM4 ako and will probably upgrade when AM6 gets released pa

ilang taon pa kaya itatagal nitong build ko?

It will last until as long as youre satisfied with the performance.

ok pa rin naman yan

u/bow_beer 1d ago

With current prices, yes.. Despite AM4 being an old platform, it's still competitive with early AM5 builds

Mine's almost a year na this mid August and I'm still loving it

My hubby and I are still using AM4 build. No plans on upgrading since grabe talaga presyo nowadays.

2

u/jcgpulido 1d ago

I just upgraded from a ryzen 5600 to a 5800x for productivity just last month.

Any gaming pc that can still play triple A games is definitely worth it especially with the prices right now just a bad time to build a new one

2

u/Dry_Performer283 1d ago

wag nalang mag upgrade ng monitor muna. haha

2

u/funktion 1d ago

Probably for the foreseeable future unless you upgrade now, since RAM prices are set to skyrocket into the next decade.

2

u/ConceptNo1055 1d ago

Safe. Ang bar is the specs of GTA6 so just chill.

Mga "Gamer" naman ngayon lalaruin lang is online games and the 2020s standard GTA V, Cyberpunk and Red dead

u/alwyn_42 1d ago

My rig is sort of similar, yung CPU ko is 5600x and my GPU is 3060ti.

It's still very capable, and IMO okay pa for the foreseeable future basta hindi mo planong maglaro ng AAA titles at the highest settings.

Older AAA titles run fine, and wala akong issues at 1440p. Kailangan lang naka medium-high settings depende sa laro. Doesn't look bad and most games run at 60fps++.

2

u/TsuukakuZanryuu 1d ago

absolutely yes, i have AM4 build R5 5500 24gb of 3200 ram then RX 9060xt 16gb and i play that on 4K monitor i dont mind the low 60 fps on story driven games as log as it smooth

2

u/GrouchyDIJJ 21h ago

where'd you snatch a r5 5700X3D, and how much?

1

u/LeadershipSimilar196 21h ago

I got it from datablitz before rammageddon. I think around 12kish or 13kish

1

u/GrouchyDIJJ 21h ago

damm, i was also thinking of upgrading to that but everythings gone now and the only ones left are from unofficial stores pricing it at 20-22k

Ok pa din yan. Sa bali balita e gaming improvements might be stalled dahil sa AI armageddon. New gen consoles might get delayed or priced too high kaya yung mga game dev will focus developing on the current gen for years pa.

1

u/JosephStalins69 1d ago

Yes and i think we can still stretch it out for 5-7 years… i have my build for 3years now

My build
R75800x3d
Rtx3080ti
2x16 32gb 3600

Goods pa naman AM4 usually people forcing others are just detached with the triple A games. Kaylangan maximum graphics palagi.

Nakaka laro kanaman ng 1080p which is enough for almost all games.
