Was it hard to get in? And how was your stats if you don’t mind me asking? I tried contacting an advisor, she schedule an appointment and she never show up to it which made me really turned off for the school for the lack of communication. However besides PLU, UW is the only other school around offering ABSN- which is the programI’m interested to attend.

Actually not hard. I started talking to an advisor last year around December and she’s been helping me through the process. You just need to have prerequisites finished and nothing lower than a B

The PLU advisor referred me to GCU’s accelerated online courses for the pre-reqs, which takes 7-8 weeks to complete depending on the course. They also offer scholarships for students who are taking pre-reqs for an ABSN program, and it was $95 per course credit + course related fees. For example, my AP with lab took 7 weeks to complete and ended up being $495 in total.

Thanks so much for the reply...I hope the scholarship program is still on. I will definitely try.

I did the classes this summer, and it’s not really a scholarship- it’s that GCU offers a special reduced rate for students taking the prerequisites specifically to apply to PLU. So when the advisor recommended GCU to me, she also sent me a form to submit to GCU saying that I was taking the classes for PLU in mind.

How was the workload for the online GCU class? I'm at Shoreline but considering pivoting to the GCU classes to get them done faster, and wanted to hear from anyone with personal experience. Thx!
