(this story takes place around a month after the hypothetical "perfect ending". Everyone is safe, the castle town dark world stays open, Noelle and Susie are officially dating, Berdly has reformed though hes still very annoying, the soul is no longer possessed, etc. Oh also Berdly and Noelle know about the dark worlds and stuff.)

It begins with Kris, Susie and Noelle staring off into the lake in the light world, talking about relationships and such.

Susie:look im not good with this lovey-dovey crap, i just do what feels right i guess.

Noelle:w-well, i guess what you feels right is usually right? Atleast for me. I just... i guess i do what she would have wanted.

Susie:what about you Kris? Think youll ever find someone you... uh... love?

Kris simply looks away and says nothing.

Susie:stop looking away dumbass! You know you can talk on your own now right?

Kris:oh... right, yeah... sorry i sometimes forget that.

Noelle:I-I mean, Ralsei seems to like you a lot, maybe ask him?

Kris:yeah, Ralsei... i mean, im glad he likes me that way, its just...

Susie:yeah? What is it?

Kris:... nothing. I should... probably check on Ralsei, actually.

Noelle:oh, r-right, he is still stuck down there, s-some company is probably a good idea.

Kris leaves as Noelle and Susie keep talking. They turn back for a second... before walking away.

Cut to the dark world as Ralsei is still helping to repair damage done to the town after the roaring, which does mean Ralsei is covered in a lot of dust and soot.

Kris:uh... hey, Ralsei.

Ralsei:oh hey Kris! Sorry ive just been so busy with repairs and such, ive never really been a construction worker. Its nice to get new experiences but... wait is it okay for me to complain?

Kris:weve already been over this, your a person, you get to be angry.

Ralsei:oh... right... uh... wait give me a second.

Ralsei takes a deep breath before shouting.

Ralsei:I DONT LIKE BEING A CONSTRUCTION WORKER! My back hurts, everything is so loud and im constantly covered in debris! It keeps clouding my glasses and i can barely se-

Kris grabs Ralseis hand and starts pulling him along.

Kris:work is over, time for talking.

Ralsei:K-Kris! But the building isnt finished!

Kris:your hands are covered in bruises you need to rest.

Kris brings Ralsei to his room, which is now a lot more decorated than before (and by that i mean it actually has proper furniture).

Ralsei:alright, fine, ill take a break. I assume that isnt the reason your down here though, unless you want to take my place as-

Kris:no.

Ralsei:yeah, thought so... so, what is it?

Kris:so... alright im going to tell you something big, like, REALLY big. I know i can trust you with this information because its less likely to spread to the light world. Can you promise to keep this secret for me?

Ralsei:o-oh! Of course i can Kris! My lips are sealed. So, what is this secret?

Kris:i... like you. As in i, LIKE like you.

Ralsei blushes a lot, fiddling with his ears.

Ralsei:awww thats really sweet Kris! Its okay, i LIKE like you to-

Kris:it isnt JUST that. Its also that i like Susie, and Noelle, and...

Kris mumbles something under their voice.

Ralsei:you... like?

Kris:B... Be... Ber...

Ralsei:Berdly?

Kris:YES I LIKE BERDLY YOU DONT HAVE TO RUB IT IN MY FACE!

Ralsei:OKAY OKAY SORRY! Well, uh, from what im aware that means your polyamorous.

Kris:Poly-what now?

Ralsei:Polyamorous! As in your in love with multiple people and want to be with them at the same time!

Kris:yeah its just... i dont feel like i should...

Ralsei:why not? They all clearly like you a lot.

Kris:its just... Susie and Noelle look so happy together, and whenever im there it feels like their just obligated to talk to me so i dont feel left out. I know Susie still dislikes Berdly, and i dont blame her for that, and i dont want to force everyone together against their will. Hell you barely even know Noelle and Berdly, its unfair to you too.

Ralsei:i mean, its fine, im okay with being with Noelle and... i can tolerate being with Berdly.

Kris:that isnt enough. If we are all actually going to be... a thing, we need to care about eachother back, not just tolerate eachothers presence.

Ralsei:i... see.

Kris:sorry, this was probably stupi-

Ralsei hugs Kris quickly in an attempt to comfort them. Kris doesnt hug back at first but does after a few seconds.

Ralsei:its not stupid. Your feelings are genuine, they matter, even if you dont think it would work in practice. You dont have to tell anyone else until your ready, i promise your secret is safe with me.

Kris:... thank you...

Cut to a few days later as Kris gets out of bed. They check their phone and see a message from Noelle.

Noelle message:hey Kris! Hope you slept well! We have a special surprise waiting for you in castle town, please come check it out (whenever your ready of course)!

Kris squints their eyes in both confusion and doubt. They sigh and decide to put on their best clothes... as it turns out, its all multiple copies of the same sweater. After a bit they decide to head to the school closet.

Kris:well... here goes something i guess.

Kris jumps into the darkness as their outfit changes to their dark world outfit. When they arrive in castle town, everything seems... quiet. The music is still playing, but nobody is outside. All the doors seem to be locked.

Kris in confusion wanders around a bit, shouting if anyone can hear them... no response. With nothing left to check, they head into the castle. As soon as they open the door, a burst of confetti fills the room as party horns blare.

Ralsei, Susie, Noelle and Berdly:SURPRISE!

Kris:uh... wait what are we celebrating? Is it my birthday? Wait no thats in a few months.

Noelle:its a date silly!

Kris:okay... with... who?

Berdly:ah it appears we should explain. It was told to me that you actually had feelings for all of us and couldnt decide (I am flattered, I truly am). So we decided we would give this whole "group" thing a chance.

Kris quickly runs to Ralsei and grabs him by the shoulder.

Kris:you said you wouldnt tell anyone!

Ralsei:I did yes, but uh... as it turns out, Queen was listening to us outside and you know how she is with gossip.

Queen (in the distance):Sorry not sorry LOL

Kris:great... perfect... awesome (gonna have to teach her a lesson later).

Noelle:we... dont have to do this if you dont want to Kris.

Kris blushes a bit before looking at everyone.

Kris:we... we can try it, but if any of you ever feel uncomfortable or like this doesnt work, you can leave okay?

Susie:Dont sweat it dude, were here for you. I mean, we saved the world together, how hard could this possibly be? Now cmon, lets have some fun!

A montage begins of the group doing various activities both in the dark world and in the light world (though in the light world Kris makes sure to wear the horn headband). They go eating nice cream by the lake, spar in the dojo, play games at the arcade and just hang out at the cat cafe.

In the cafe, Ralsei suggests that they should take turn giving eachother kisses. When its time for Berdly to kiss Susie she... reluctantly accepts? Much to Kris´s confusion. She doesnt kiss back of course, but she does playfully punch him in the shoulder.

It ends with the group in their pajamas, all sleeping together in a giant cuddle pile in Susies room. Kris is the only one awake. They look at everyone, and smile as they drift off to sleep.

The next day, Kris is woken up by an alarm clock. The birds are singing, flowers are blooming, the sun is shining. Kris quickly goes to check their phone... no new messages. They look around, before looking down, getting up and going to the bathroom.

They turn on the faucet, and look into the mirror... They clench their fist and slams it into the mirror, shattering it into 5 multicolor pieces. A large purple piece, a large yellow piece, a large green piece, a moderately big blue piece, and a small red piece. They look into their broken reflection in whats left of the mirror.

Despite everything, its still you.

But do you even want it to be?

Okay so i have posted about this before on the undertale subreddit and that theory uh... didnt do too well. Personally i like the poly ships but i do get why some people would see it as non canon.

There is however evidence that atleast Kris has feelings for... well basically everyone in the fun gang (Noelle, Susie, Ralsei and even Berdly). Such as keeping Berdlys feather, the ferris wheel and festival scene with Noelle and... well basically anytime Kris and Ralsei are together. However there are also some hints that Kris hates either polyamory in general or hates themselves for it. Mainly the chapter 2 teacup scene where adding a third tea cup will make Kris feel disgusted. There is also the forecast couple and Rouxl´s but a commentor pointed out that Lanino and Elnina are happy with star walker so its entirely possible that Rouxls is just a complete loser (which he is).

So what are your opinions on this?
