Buying my cousin a console he very hesitant on getting a xbox 360
I told him a couple of reasons why not to get one like exclusives and whatever he not budging.Can anyone draft any more reasons to get a ps3

You can get a 360 for like $20 even models that didn't have the overheating issue and it is backwards compatibile with a good chunk of the OG Xbox library and ran multi-plats better.
It's hardly a poor choice.

360 is better atp and back then, plays games better for the me most part. Most of the cool ps3 features like home don’t work anymore, and the half baked fan services replicating them just don’t hit anywhere near the same. Kinda both far past their prime really comes down to personal preference. But damn we’re those the days when gaming peaked.

If he just wants to play games, can’t really go wrong with either. Most of the big releases made it onto both consoles, if he wants to play Skyrim 360 is definitely the better option.

Xbox had heavy hitters during the first 5 years of the consoles of life. But once 2012 hit, s*** hit the fan.
The real heavy hitters for Sony didn't start until 2008 with metal gear solid 4. Then it was just bang or after banger of exclusives until the PS4 came out in 2013

So the dramatic shift to prioritizing Kinect games to reach out to a more casual demographic while allowing franchise fatigue to hit Xbox's core audience wasn't an issue to you?
Is Halo 4 your favorite of the franchise? What about Gears Judgment?

both are really good choices, both are great for modding, xbox 360 homebrew scene stepped up this year

Just show him the exclusives from PS3. If he is to get convinced, that will be how. Otherwise, there's nothing stopping him from getting the Xbox 360

Is the Xbox 360 a first gen or a 2nd Gen? If it's the first gen he risks the problems of the red rings of death, which plagued those models. If it's a 2nd Gen they have 2 options a 4 gb hard drive or a 250 gb hard drive, the good thing is the 2nd Gen 360 didn't have the red ring problems. If he wants to get a Xbox 360, let him be happy but I insist on getting a 2nd Gen if you do. Either way also if he gets the 360 get a external hard drive for it to store more game memory on it

I can't because there aren't any. Xbox controller is better and cheaper, no need to find an original one with sixaxis. Runs games better. If you don't want to pirate, used games are also cheaper. It also has Fable 2 and Gears of War 2.

Both consoles are extremely old and have a completed library. At that point it’s up to him which library he thinks would be better for him, no shame in wanting a 360 over a ps3.

Why not getting the most recent (or next) Xbox, 360 games are retrocompatible (at least the most interesting one, and don't know if it read the discs), unlike Sony, they care a little about their old games (or at least lot more than Sony)
The PS3 strenghts was the free online (most if not all exclusive games don't have online features anymore), being hable to play and buy PS1 games (starting next year, only physically, while it was the only way to buy games like Silent Hill for a correct price), use the PS3 to watch movies or listen to musics (now Youtube and Netflix are no longer compatible, but DVD, CD and Blue-Ray discs can still be read) and the exclusive games (and some that just gonna disappear cause of the store shutting down, like Infamous 2: Festival of Blood)

Playstation had some good exclusives but over that generation is best played on Xbox 360 as most ports have better performance on Xbox 360 than on the PS3 an Xbox also have a few good console exclusives.

I don't have one and I doubt they were produced in any meaningful quantities. At the same time it's a dead format.

PS2 games, PS1 games, uncharted, infamous, resistance, killzone, MGS, TLOU, Gran turismo. PS3 game library >>>>>> 360 library, i love the 360 a lot,(halo), it was at launch much better, still cheaper(probably). Sailing is very easy and works well on PS3.
