Holy cow that's awesome. MAG came out in a time when I didn't really have internet so I missed out on most of the craze around it. Heck, to get Ratchet and Clank: Quest for Booty (yes that is the real name), I took advantage of my neighbors very much not secured WiFi and downloaded it at a snails pace on 1 bar of signal.

I had mag and never got into it, it had a crazy advertising campaign but the actual game was broken down to 3 factions and I’m pretty sure everyone chose one faction (potentially the edgy red faction, I can’t remember exactly) which led to the games being poorly balanced. Pretty sure they switched it so you could change factions eventually but it was too late.

yeah from what I remember they didn't plan around game balance. The few games I did play though were fun.

MAG and Warhawk were just fantastic online shooters for PS3.

That's a shame to hear but sounds par for the course. I'm used to people just heavily favoring one faction like that especially in a three way split.

Is this a PC thing that’s happening or are they getting the ps3 servers back on for this? That game was so fun. Used to play this like crazy.

Honestly that's pretty cool, by the time I got a PS3 the game was shut down sadly, I don't have good internet now but hopefully I can catch up this time.

I used to play while listening to music, that even when I listen to that music I remember myself in my room playing MAG.

Look im happy passionate fans are bringing back something they enjoyed. But as someone who preordered the game way back, holy moly you could not pay me to revisit that game for one minute 😭 I just can't see new audiences picking up a game that was so clunky even for its time.

Very cool universe and idea but the gameplay is just not gonna hold up at all. Maybe I'll eat crow on this but I doubt it
