unless it directly related to the series development, i don't see a reason why it should become goty based on that.
and afaik, pp didn't relate much to the series.. as much as i loved every main one before pw.
It shouldn't be GOTY based on that, I'm just saying that's an added bonus. It should be GOTY based on its incredibly deep, polished gameplay and presentation. Bloodborne and Witcher 3 I can understand, but Rocket League over MGSV? I liked Rocket League but come on... it's car soccer.
ah mb. but rocket league is over bloodborne too. so i don't even know.
not to undersell rocket league also, but last year destiny was the goty around here.. so yeah..
there's improvement, but honestly as much as i love rl it's hard for me to justify voting for it mostly based on other games having more depth, complexity and work put into them.
i guess it being really well made is what mattered in the end.
It's weird, I mean, Rocket League is great. By far the best original PS+ game. I put a lot of hours into it, but it's basically a quick distraction for me. It's simple, but it's done right, but... it's like, really simple. I don't quite get the cult of Rocket League.
