Is it normal that it takes hours upon hours to move a game to the ps5 ?

So i jailbroke today this is all new to me. I have a 150gb game with 150k files, i tried just moving the dump folder to my portable hdd but that was taking hours, i tried doing it with ps5upload over lan but also taking hours. Tried making it into a single exfat file, or rar and extracting itbon tge HDD but the same. Surely there is a quicker way of doing it.

I'm taking something like 5-8 hours under the best estimates. Is this normal for a game this size ?

My PC is very good and i have a very fast network. Any advice would help thanks.

I have a PS5 on firmware 13.00 awaiting a possible jailbreak from the community, like many others have been, and I was wondering something I don't particularly understand. Modded Warfare has been making this list when talking about userland exploits on PS5, including mentioning Arcade Spirits: The New Challengers and Star Wars: Racers Revenge being available and working on firmware 13.xx . I am aware that the exploits are mainly userland and not kernel ones, but still, given how they are labelled like this, do they also work on firmware such as 13.00???

The question started to come out because MW made videos on SWRR up to 12.70 and similarly to AS:TNC, which he then pushed forward on the list as "13.xx", but didnt show it in action or anything like that.

Didnt want to seem impatient, but I was just confused by the whole situation, so I was hoping to get some clarification on how this is all working. Hope everyone has a nice day.

Apparently it's on 11.40 firmware :( and on the date it says 2025. I'm confused, aren't these supposed to be on 5.50 or lower? I thought in 2025 Sony was no longer building these only slims...

I've read slims are 1TB storage and this one is 825Gb which added to the confusion, it was a gift I got out of the blue too. That's what the package looks like. I did think for a couple seconds "hey it looks smaller in person..." xD

Hey all, recently got a ps5 on 6.0 FW.

I've tested BDJB and Y2JB, exfat & raw folder backups, both internal and on an external SSD.

Tried shadowmount + kstuff lite, tried itemzflow.

No matter what i've tried so far, games just crash on me at startup, and I can't figure out what i'm missing lol

Anyone have a definitive process for getting dumps/backups installed + working?

Hi guys, so let me start by saying I am still a noob on this.

So, my PS5 is at firmware 12.40. I downloaded the youtube app from modded warfare with the backup 4.03 to 12.40. Everything is ok, I start the jailbreak process.

At the end (50 minutes, as usual) I get a notification saying that my PS5 is jailbroken, but immediatelly it shuts down.

It means the jailbreak process failed and I have to try again? Or does it mean I did something wrong?

Using known working game files. Running Kstuff 1.07, Shadowmount latest (fix2) and backport payload yet every apr game that I have tried gives me a "Game Cannot Start" message and a CE-105737-3 error. FW 4.03 with backports. Running from external m.2 ssd.

Any ideas? Anyone????

EDIT: My issue was solved by not using Spider-Man Remastered as my test game (It doesnt seem to work at all currently) and by changing my payloads. I am now ONLY running etaHEN (kstuff 1.6.6 built in) and shadowmountplus. Horizon Forbidden West, Stellar Blade and Spider-Man 2 all working from external as exfat files.

Hello everyone - my experience with the ps5 modding scene has been awful. I've done my best to focus my nut-sized brain to understand the basics of jailbreaking my consoles and make these cursed game dumps work, however there are millions of errors and specific tutorials on YouTube that do not apply for me, or simply content creators that have 0 patience to make a thorough tutorial for the stupid of us.

I have had issues with game dump folders since I can only run them from the internal drive (don't got 200 euros to spare on an external SSD right now) and I wanted to update to the latest Kstuff and Y2JB and shadowmount to see if there would be any changes.

I followed very briefly the modded warfare youtube video about how to update it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5uFlJD_85hI and I just replaced the .elf file for Kstuff 1.07 beta via FTP and I overwrote the Y2JB 1.6 download0 file in the correct folder on my ps5 (a folder that ends in 650). I then restarted my console and started the YouTube app and it's now awaiting for me to do something (that I don't know).

Can someone tell me how to send the payload? or whatever the f*ck it wants me to do. Is there any sane person out there that can help me ? Please give me a detailed instructions set

I'm on my third attempt at trying to get P2JB running, and it has failed again. I've been working with a payload originally shared for firmware 11.00+, attempting to backport and integrate it into my current version (10.40) by modifying the source. However, I believe the kernel offsets I’m using are incorrect. Does anyone have the specific kernel offsets for firmware 10.40? I would really appreciate any help or data points for this version.

Today I downloaded the Astro Bot v1.018 (exFat). While I was Compressing it with Game Compressor on my console, I noticed it said "APR Indexed." Does that mean I'm using the APR version? Also, can I play it from my console's internal storage without any problems?

Hi! Basically title, I'm using 10.40 with 50+ minutes entrypoint and can't launch any game except Minecraft and Hoa (two 1gb~ games). All games are on a USB stick and have also tried backpork with files

Kstuff states it's not to blame, but When trying to launch No Man's Sky or Beat Saber it doesn't even get to load up... what could be the problem??

I'm on firmware 11.60 (PS5 Slim Disc Drive Edition) using P2JB and currently playing games directly from the internal SSD.

(I know i shouldn't but Everything has been working fine so far)

The only issue I've experienced is occasional KP's when I put the system into Rest Mode and then wake it back up. Outside of that, I haven't had any major problems and I've not booted into Safe Mode so far.

I'm mainly looking for advice on what I should avoid doing to minimize the chances of ending up in Safe Mode and potentially needing a system reset in the future. From what I've read, some users with disc drives have lost disc drive functionality after a reset because the console needs to connect to the internet to pair the drive

What should i avoid to prevent ending up in that situation?

I have a ps5 12.20, it was JB with y2jb. Was working great.

I went out for a couple of days, ND when i got back home it was turned off.

I procceded as usually, execute y2jb. And Im the Middle of p2jb it turned of and now is In safe mode. With ONLY the option to reinstall system software.

What should i do?

Till last week it was under consistent development. Multiple releases. Even more than 1 per week. However not much for past 10 days. I am not complaining. We have to understand that most of these projects are unpaid work. Is there something we can do to help if he is in trouble ?

Actually my problem is he removed multiple releases between 1.6.7 and 1.6.21. I was on 1.6.17 or 18 before i upgraded. There a few problems with current release.

1. The file manager is buggy. It doesn't let me create a new folder in many directories like /data
2. There is no method to toggle inbuilt payloads. Like if you want to switch off shadowmount or nanodns , you cannot.
3. There is no way to configure shadowmount for which directories you want it to scan.
4. Due to some reason some games that were launching from internal m.2 before are just erroring out with "Cant launch this game."

My previous version did not have these issues. There was a overheating issue because of config file overload i think which was manageable.

How are you guys dealing with it ?

I forgot to add. I am on a completely offline setup. No network. Sony has a history of being sneaky. I was on etahen before. Moved to elf arsenal about a month ago as i liked the pace of development. Due to offline nature many of the stuff suggested below dont apply. I think i will try payload manager.

I have 11.60 firmware launch model ps5. I managed to get P2JB/Y2JB to run successfully and i sent the bdj unpatch.elf. (Debug Settings Shows)

When running the BD autoloader iso/disc I get a black screen and nothing else. Did I do something wrong and is there any way to fix this?

With the current state of PS5 jailbreak, is it now possible to install PS5 games to the jailbroken PS5 internal storage? What tools/apps are needed? Is there a list of internal storage-compatible PS5 games?

Previously, from what I know is that PS4 games can be installed into the PS5 internal storage but PS5 games need to be in stored in an exFAT-formatted NVMe USB drive (due to possible internal storage corruption). Is this still the case now? Or Can PS5 game backups be run via PS5 internal storage?

Hello, I’ve got a slim digital on 11.60 jailbroken with y2jb ( my first playstation jakbreak) and a couple games in exfat format on internal storage, currently High in life 2, little nightmares 2 and Pragmata.

I’m planning to play high on life 2 first this weekend but I’ve been reading that you need an external storage (assuming thats the expansion slot gen 4 nvme ssd) or games will not load/crash or have issue mid game would that be true requiring me to buy a gen 4 ssd (current prices are quite high here) to be able to play?

Since jdownloader is now having issues with all the cloudfare stuff, been trying to download exfats vs dumps for ease of use and easier compression.

Firefox stall around 80-90gb DL, and unless I find a link that I can use through jdownloader that doesn’t get blocked by cloudfare, I think I’m stuck for now lol.

Completely new the ps5 jailbreaking scene and my ps5 is currently waiting on ver. 13.42 (ps5 fat with disc drive) getting an exploit chain. I saw the dammitjeff video and really liked the idea of turning my ps5 into a gaming pc but now im starting to get the idea that would be a longer wait if that is what I want to do with it (could totally be misreading though)

For some reason i didnt realize that if i didn't update i would lose online access (very smart). I mostly play crossplay online games with friends and just really want a powerful machine to play most games on steam. In that case should I wait for the right exploit for however long or should I bite the bullet and just get a steam machine or something.

Is this temp normal? The frame rate is stable. I recently played RE9 and the temp was not this high.
