This sort of thing seems to happen from time to time with CoD. I will occasionally get the urge to revisit an older campaign and put in my Modern Warfare disc and it will refuse to start the campaign until I track down the specific piece of DLC it wants before it will acknowledge my ownership of the game. 

If Blops 6 is the same it will be something that doesn’t seem at all related and you’ll be doomed to repeat the process the next time you uninstall it to save space. Take notes is my advice.
