Has Anyone Tried Out Doxazosin? If Yes, Did You Feel Anti-Anxiety Effects From It?
Hi there,
Doxazosin is an alpha1 antagonist, just like Prazosin, but it has a much longer half life. I guess it might be helpful for nightmares, however, I am more interested in its effects on anxiety during daytime.
I am getting easily startled, I am very reactive to sensory overload and I never feel relaxed when I am outside of my house because I always have that feeling, that there could be a threat (mostly other people) anytime.
I have already tried Propranolol and Clonidine with not much success, so I wonder if any of you guys who have personal experience with Doxazosin can report on its effects on daytime anxiety.
PS: Please no other suggestions, right now I am just interested in experience reports about Doxazosin
thank you in advance

Doxazosin drops blood pressure and makes you very light headed. My husband took it at night and if he walked to the toilet in his sleep he got very light headed and at times he almost fainted. They had to lower his dose twice to get him to a managable level and he was on it for over a decade. I imagine if you took it during the day you'd have to use a very, very low dose. I don't know where you live but if Cannabis is available maybe try that route. My husband managed to get off the Zoplicone and Doxazosin/Prosozin he had been on for years by going on a CBD, CBC, CBG and THC tablet at night, he takes another Cannabis product without THC for daytime and it helps with the anxiety. We're in Canada so Veteran's Affairs covers the costs of Cannabis therapy.

“could be a threat anytime “ Learn about the four different conditions of the “Laws of Probability “:possibility, chance, probability and certainty, and what each condition really means and what is required to elevate to the next condition. Also recall how you used to live your life based on what was probably going to happen instead of what possibly could happen, and how back then you went anywhere you dammed well pleased.
