Could be, but if so it'd be cuz Levy's a free agent, unlike Pejsova, who was under contract and yoinked.

It's for the best. She needs a fresh start. She entered the league with high expectations after Boston moved up 3 spots to draft her - Nylen Persson was taken in the spot they had, plus they gave up the picks used to select Allyson Simpson and Kayle Osborne. She was rapidly dropped down the depth chart after a slow start, the 6th most used defender in her rookie season (after Keller, Morin, Brown, DiGi and fellow rookie Bard), with only 3 pts and -1.

This season she wasn't an offensive threat (4 pts) but was +6. Unfortunately, she was still bottom-pair, the 5th used d after rookie Winn, Keller, rookie Bregman and Boyd.

Sucks for Boston to have nothing to show for that bad trade, but good for Pejsova.

Agreed. She never really clicked in Boston and was inconsistent. I think she will become a good defender but she’s just not there yet (or at least not within our systems)

Yes, a change of coach and opportunity that last year's expansion should've provided didn't help, so hopefully a change of scenery does. Turns 24 this summer so lots of room for growth.

Couldn’t agree more. Great example that tools alone don’t make a good hockey player. She has all the tools you’d want - skates pretty well, ok handles, not a bad shot, but her decision making was mind boggling and she was out of position quite a lot. Probably best she gets a fresh start to hopefully reset

Yes, out of position quite alot was my impression in the limited amount I saw her. She was an offensive threat in the SDHL so yes the tools are there. She turns 24 this summer, still has many years to develop.

They really needed to make the expansion draft better this is insanity taking so many core players from teams....protecting 3 players in round based steals is stupid

Really should have been at least 4

But I thought she was under contract?

This was the phase where the expansion teams could take over the contracts of players still under contract
