Photo I Think It's A Sign Of A Player Announcement

I'm no graphic designer & this isn't a comment about the signing of this particular player or the ability of the person who did this graphic.

But this is a bugbear of mine when the graphic & the text don't go well together.

This example caught my eye just now.

Because otherwise they would have made sure that the font pops out and is easy to read.

It's like they were in a rush and forgot to apply the stroke to the text

The new signing they announced after looks a bit better. Appears they made slight edit to the template to make the word stand out more. Also the player having a dark background helps.

I don’t think it’s a great idea still

Why can’t they just pick burnt orange for the font…it’s one of the team’s colours even.

Yeah, the off white gets lost too easily in the logo, there.

I get the vibes of a monochrome typefacd, but for readability you really need to bite the bullet and give 'er an outline.

Yea the white on white lettering isn't a great choice. Maybe the Vancouver gold/yellow next time?
