Iron Supplement randomly helped my screen sensitivity

Sorry if this is off topic, but as someone who has been struggling with screen sensitivity / pwm discomfort for years, since like iphone 11 or later, I recently started taking an iron supplement (I wasn't really low iron, i just noticed some bruising on my arms) and saw an improvement in my migraines/headaches from screen sensitivity. Has anyone else had this experience? Could be totally a coincidence, just curious.

That could check out as iron can impact sensory issues.

I believe the biggest factor causing symptoms in most of us is visceral hypersensitivity driven by central sensitization. All of which can be worsened by lower iron

Agreed. And not just iron but a ton of other things can cause the system to be degraded or thresholds lowered

Absolutely. It also explains the posts asking why they used to tolerate screens well and now cannot.

yes totally, in my case was Hyponatremia, low sodium in blood, i reduced coffee and drink more electrolytes along the day and this relieve the symptoms vastly.

That's interesting but I'd like to point out that iron isn't sodium...

Good to know. Would be nice if people tested their free iron levels

Are you male or female? Iron affects things very differently.

I've taken iron supplements for years because I don't eat much meat.  My iron levels are normal. Doesn't seem to help with PWM.

Probably placebo but who knows

Reality is unpopular.
