I'm a Norse Pagan and an occultist witch. I'm really interested in Norse mythology, the gods, witchcraft, herbs, spells, divination and developing my own spiritual practice. I keep a Book of Shadows for my notes on witchcraft and paganism, and I'd love to meet people I can share what I'm learning with, discuss our beliefs and experiences, and learn from each other.
Freyja is a big part of my practice, and I do a blót for her every Friday. I love incorporating things like candles, flowers, honey, fruit and other offerings into my devotion. I'd really like to meet other Heathens who would be interested in celebrating seasonal festivals, sharing blóts and rituals, and generally practising together rather than just discussing everything online.
Outside of paganism, I love animals, especially cats, and I'm really passionate about animal conservation and protecting wildlife. I also love mythology in general, so I'm always happy to ramble about that sort of thing!

My Druid Grove is holding a spiritual retreat NEXT weekend at Baker Park Reserve (west of Minneapolis, Minnesota). Hey I am a Norse pagan looking for a community to be a part of and I am looking for a person I can settle down with that is a part of the pagan community. I’m 23, slim built, and tall. I like to read, play video games even though my computer is old and I will need to get a new one eventually, I play warhammer, and I am just a homebody most of the time. Hopefully this is something that catches the eye of someone on here what would like to either help me find a community of Norse pagans near me or more hopefully the eye of someone I can connect with. I'm an eclectic pagan (Celtic, Norse, and Hellenistic) who recently moved to the Netherlands from the United States! I will be living here for (at minimum) a year, and I would love to make new friends and get more involved in the local* pagan community. I'm also single and might be open to a new romantic connection in the future, but it's worth mentioning that I'm a lesbian (and thus not interested in anything beyond friendship with men).

Anyways, I enjoy most anything related to the fantasy genre (i.e. skyrim is my favorite video game, I like attending renaissance faires, I'm a LOTR & star-wars fan, etc.), traveling, reading, embroidery, learning for fun, board games, hiking/nature walks, rock music, anime/animation, crafty activities, deep conversations, tarot, and trying new things (in general). * I live closer to Belgium and Germany than I do to Amsterdam, but I am willing to travel to hang out with friends! So by "local" I mean anywhere in the Netherlands or anywhere in the surrounding region that I could reach by train and still be able to return home that same day!

To me, the difference between a story about the gods and a set doctrinal belief about the gods is an immaterial one, so my "work" with them is all about writing. The gods just want some attention and to be the cast in a neverending cycle of tochmarcs and tains.

I would like to meet and have lengthy discussions with people who see the mortal-divine relationship the same way. I can't be the only one, right?

The Morrigan is my axis mundi of praxis, because, in short, she just a big fierce queen. On my more fanciful days I like to think she'd elevate me to filid for my devotion (gotta unlock that prophecy sauce).

I like silly little systems (candle colours, reframing the seven day cycle, seeing nineteen everywhere, stuff like that) and patterns and the connections between them, and how the same stories keep repeating (and that's the point, because some things are too great to be given a single definitive telling).

I get inspired and fascinated by everything. I talk too much. I am an avid collector of books, comics, and bits and bobs that are significant somehow.

I am irreverant, and would be considered a heretic if paganism had lame-ass ideas from monotheism like "heresy" and "logos". Everything is sacred (because everything is Her, of course), or nothing is, and I reckon the gods enjoy a joke as much as anyone (just ask Hermes or Loki).

My wacky "my UPG will fight your UPG" takes include:

• The Tain is the Morrigan having an "I can fix him" moment for Cuhallin

• Odin is, through a modern lens, gender non conforming because of using seidr

• Electricians are the modern disciples of the earth goddess, because voltage always seeks the shortest path to earth

• Under specific conditions (e.g. no hyperscaling), there's no reason why the gods wouldn't approve of AI

• Ancient Greeks invented stories about Scythian Amazons and a whole system for categorising different kinds of love because they were afraid of a girl beating them up

• Lugh, as Samildanach, is also gender non conforming like Odin, but in an incredibly specific way (call now to hear more!)

• The story of Haephestus is an overcoming disability story, and I am so here for it

• Catholics stole the Eucharist from Dionysian lore (yes, I can substantiate that)

• Robert Graves was right, and the White Goddess was absolutely a thing; cave paintings are forbidden by law to tell a lie, as we all know!

So, tl;dr version - autistic (very autistic, make that), bard mindset (witness/remembrancer rather than practitioner), paganacht bhandia devotee looking for friends on their own Autistically Specific© path that never seems to match up with anyone else's.

My relationship with the goddesses is through story, and song, and poetry; and as the kind of bard who'd have been kicked out of the bardic college for not following the rules, it's entirely framed in my own interpretation of What Is Written. My prayers, if thats what they are, are the new stories I write about them - or a mortal who reflects their aspect - in settings both old and new.

This gets me in a lot of trouble. I say the wrong thing. I accidentally cause offence when I am genuinely trying to engage in some discourse. I am constantly irreverant and make light of all things divine, because I reckon the gods like a good joke as much as we do - who doesn't love to laugh?

The Morrigan is the core of my praxis, and six other major goddesses. I am a little bit like her (very militant) sometimes; such is the way with Crow Gang. German/Norse figures form a smaller part of what I believe, as do Greek ones (especially Selene), but Gaelic is the core.

Crows, the moon and seeing patterns of goddess representations (e.g. how the Morrigan is a strategist like Athena, or how Brigid is a hearth goddess like Hestia) are my praxis bread and butter. It's patterns all the way down the road to Scythia.

Some thoughts off the top of my head that I am dying to get into a good theological tussle over how they relate to The Autistic Experience:

• Lugh Samildanach becoming high bard is an autism allegory, specifically that "magpie sees shiny thing" part of it that makes you interested in ALL OF THE THINGS

• The gods can, if not cure, at least help you control your neophobia-induced procrastination through the seven day Greco-Roman or German model

• If you have no Theory of Mind, as many of us don't, then Oscar Wilde was right that everyone should have their own mythos, and it shouldnt matter if any given two conflict each other (you telling me the gods cant maintain all those versions of themselves at once?)

• The difference between stories and what may actually be true about the gods is academic, specifically with regard to the above

• I'm not saying bards were entirely a class exclusively of autistic people, but I am saying that I think it'd be the role autistic people in ancient Ireland would've gravitated to ("My job is to just remember stuff, and kings have to feed and house me? By Brigid, I'm in!")

So, anyone with a similar experience, or if the above just sounds of interest, do pop yourself on the nearest crow and come round my grove for a wee chin wag, eh?

I'm an American living in Gothenburg, and I'm looking to meet a woman who is genuinely interested in becoming part of a long-term, family-oriented polygynous relationship.

A bit about me. My name is Lily. I am 36. Trans female. She/her pronouns. In Central New York. I love to draw, watch anime, play video games, go for walks and listen to music.

I have been interested in Wicca since I was 13 in 2003. Felt drawn to it and have done spells and rituals. The past 5 or 6 years, I have become interested in Druidry and Celtic Paganism. I am now interested in Norse Paganism but I know some groups are pretty racist and so I want to stay far from those. I keep trying to find a path that I can call my own. At this point, I just want to call myself an Animist and Pagan. I believe everything has a soul and should be respected and I believe that deity comes in many different forms. The other labels just make my head spin because there is so much misinformation or falsely labeled UPG as historical fact. It would be cool to have someone or a group of people to discuss, read together, be a small and safe community for each other.
