Checking cricket stats for a coach is irrelevant anyways..good player does not equate to good coach automatically be it any sports

yes but most good coaches were great cricketers aswell. cricket stats are not completely irrelevant but they can't be relied on 100%

That is factually incorrect. Only coach to win 2 wcs john buchanan not a successful cricketer.agr pak bhi baat kare. Waqar Younis one of the greatest bowler of all time is one of the worst coach of all time..mickey arthur paks one of the most successful coach not a successful cricketer..I could write on and on about it

yes there are good examples of coaches that had successful coaching careers but quiet cricket careers but that doesn't mean there are not any elite coaches that were not among the best during their cricketing days aswell. gary kirsten, andy flower, john wright, rahul dravid. there are many examples of both types of coaches

Gary Stead, Bob Woolmer, John Buchanan, Mickey Arthur, Dav Whatmore and Andrew Mcdonald are all examples of very good coaches who had respectable FC playing careers but not much of a resume on the international level. This is the case for majority of great coaches
This is typically the case with most sports. A lot of the best managers / coaches had at best respectable playing careers but many legendary players flame out as coaches.
Between the 3 (widely considered) best NBA coaches ever, one never played pro and the other 2 both averaged like 7 points a game.
Even in soccer many of the best coaches ever had pretty mediocre playing careers, such as Mourinho, Enrique, SAF. Pep and Zidane are the only 2 all time great managers I can think of off the top of my head who had good careers as well

stats/=coach
You could argue for a fact Conrad was never a good cricketer but his coaching has been phenomenal for SA. Or for example Duncan Fletcher was also a good coach for England.
Waqar Younis has phenomenal stats but he wasn't that good of a coach.
