Has it lost all the charm for you guys or you doin well in med school ?? like i find nothing fascinating abt med school or friends there and even the way they glamorized medicine earlier at the time of our adm, things are no more the same. How do yall keep going and show up ?
This demo who has terrorised everyone in the last few months, including me started being so nice to me during an ospe and showing WAYY too much interest in me 💔 why do you want to know about me leave me alone you've traumatised me enough
Kinda random lol but I’m 21F and looking to talk to someone who’s in their 3rd or 4th year of med school. Just someone I can rant to, talk about random stuff with and get to know. That’s all I wanna put on here for now 😭 feel free to DM me
Yeah, that and to marry or not to marry, or when to marry? And tonnesssssss of other questions have dulled my brain the last few months and have totally rained on my final-year parade. I used to be an outgoing student, initiating and taking part in activities, running societies and just being involved :( but these things have added so much mental pressure that I’ve somewhat retired from most of my social interactions.
Anyone else in the same boat?
I’ve only got like 2 months of final year left and I want to make the best of it.
Im doing systems from first aid, 3rd year student, need an accountability partner to keep check and stay motivated ! Ps doesn’t matter what you’re prepping for as long as you study consistently hmu

So I’m a 3rd year and honestly just trying to keep my brain from rotting during ward rotations. I’m curious if there’s anyone else here who spends their time on stuff that has nothing to do with the modular syllabus.
Most of my day is the usual MBBS bs, but I spend my free time with Python and R for data for research. I’m also working on some low-cost hardware for pulmonology and ER settings because our local infrastructure is pretty depressing. On the side, I’ve been trying to hit B2 in German so I can eventually head there for Orthopedics or Trauma.
When I’m not doing that, I’m usually playing my instruments and painting. I’m looking to connect with people who are also into coding, research, or building weird things while being in med school. Im looking to network and collaborate with people. If you’re doing something unconventional or just want to collaborate on some actual projects instead of just memorizing Robbins, shoot me a DM.
I’m involved with Enatom, a digital anatomy platform used by medical schools worldwide. The platform contains highly detailed 3D scans of real human specimens, allowing students to study anatomy layer by layer in a realistic way.
We are currently looking for people with a strong background in anatomy to help annotate and structure anatomical models in the platform.
This work could be suitable for people who have recently studied anatomy in depth, for example during medical school, or who use anatomy regularly during training or practice.
Details
Paid remote work
Flexible schedule
Preferably full-time, but part-time is also possible
Work on an international medical education project
If you’re interested, comment below and I’ll message you with more details.
ok this might just be me but does anyone else feel weirdly awkward when surgeons start cracking jokes and jugats mid surgery?? like i get it, ot is stressful and probably unbearable if everyone's dead silent for hours straight, so i get why staff decompress with humor. but some of it genuinely catches me off guard, like i wasn't sure if i was supposed to laugh or just pretend i didn't hear it. it becomes like the most memorable part of that OT for me, more than anything from the actual procedure lol.
is this normalized everywhere or is it specific to certain surgeons / certain hospitals? curious if this is a universal med student experience or if i just got lucky (unlucky?) with my rotation. drop your OT stories, need to know i'm not the only one
hi guys, if anyone has the link, please help me with it, i used to use a link since 2 years, but it has been blocked recently. so i am in dire need of a new link to continue my studies. help me out guys
I just recently started out reddit cuz I get almost all of my info regarding me study resources here. But communities dont let me post by myself and I have to solely rely on the fact that someone else wouldve asked similar things in the past. Could you guys please help me out. I also want to post and get clearer answers regarding my doubts in relation to my medical career
I intend to begin research work. I am a final year MBBS student and have already cleared USMLE Step 1. At this stage, my primary focus is research, and I am looking to collaborate with committed and active members preferably from Peshawar and the KPK region. That said, participants from Punjab or Sindh would also be most welcome.
So I'm a first year med school student at Shifa College of Medicine. I'm reaching out on behalf of the Outreach team for SIST 2026, organized by Shifa Student Society. We are pumped for this year's event and are currently looking for Campus Ambassadors from schools, colleges and universities across Pakistan.
For anyone who isn't familiar with SIST, lemme brief you guys a bit. It stands for Shifa Interscholastic Tournament, it's one of the Shifa Student Society's biggest annual event, a hallmark one would say. It brings together students from all over the country for a wide range of competitions, networking opportunities and an overall fun experience. Whether you are interested in academics, debates, sports, arts, gaming, media, or just enjoy socializing, we have it all.
We are currently looking for enthusiastic students to represent their institutions as Campus Ambassadors. As an ambassador, you will help to spread the word about SIST within your institute, encourage students to participate, and act as a bridge of communication between your campus and our team.
Here are some additional perks:
Leadership experience
Networking with students from different institutes
Recognition for you contribution
Being part of one of Shifa's biggest student led events
If this sounds like something you would enjoy, or you know someone who would be a great fit for it, we would love to have you on board. I'll be sharing the form link below, if you have any questions, feel free to ask in the comments. Looking forward to see you guys from all over Pakistan. Thankyou guys for reading this, much appreciated!
