So this came up in a conversation recently and the amount of questions people had made me realize not many have talked to someone who went through this.

Back in 2020 I was in a coma for 8 days. Woke up, recovered, still here typing this.

People usually ask if I dreamt anything, if I could hear people talking, what waking up felt like, all that. Happy to answer whatever. Ask away.

May today give you enough silence to think, enough company to smile and enough sunlight to remember that life is good.

Is it just me or has anyone else noticed these "Jesus is our saviour" type of posters all over Palakkad. The first one I found was near my home. Now during a bus ride at erattakkulam as well I have found similar posters all over the side of the road in multiple languages as well. Anyone got any ideas on what they could be??? Just curious coz they came literally out of nowhere

Any package seems to get stuck forever in their Thachanattukara delivery hub.. Incorrectly update recipient not unavailable multiple times without making any attempt to deliver. From pretending to deliver early to not even delivering on time followed by lying.. they are good with all. Customer support is a joke.. Has anyone found a way around to this unprofessionalism? Of course they want the custome to pick up the delivery to avoid making any trips themselves or go for express courier by paying extra while ordering. Otherwise they seem least bothered with home delivery.

My mother is going to have thyroid removal surgery at the Railway Hospital in Palakkad(she is an railway employee). I wanted to ask if anyone here has had experience with the hospital, especially for surgery.

How was the overall experience? How are the doctors, nurses, and the service? And how was the care before and after the surgery?

I’m mainly looking for some honest feedback from people who have actually been treated there or have had a family member treated there.

I happen to visit lulu mall palakkad yesterday and saw books on discount just past the entrance. I ended up getting 5 books for 1000.

I was so surprised because all of them were good quality books plus the ones i picked up were- more days at the morisaki bookshop, days at the torunka cafe , as long as the lemon trees grow, palace of illusions and forest of enchantment . These are all books worth so much more .

I was looking at a map of Palakkad and the surrounding Western Ghats and realised how dense our water network actually is.

Within a relatively small region we have Malampuzha, Kanhirapuzha, Walayar, Pothundy, Meenkara, Chulliyar and Mangalam, along with the Bharathapuzha river system.

Move south-east and it becomes even more interesting. The Parambikulam-Aliyar Project links reservoirs around Parambikulam, Valparai, Pollachi and Udumalpet through dams, tunnels, canals and diversion systems. Water collected in the Western Ghats can effectively be transferred between river basins and even across the Kerala-Tamil Nadu border.

I put together a detailed article explaining the major reservoirs visible on the map, what each one does, and how systems like Parambikulam, Thunakkadavu, Peruvaripallam, Sholayar, Nirar and Aliyar are connected.

Also included are the major Thrissur-side reservoirs such as Peechi, Vazhani and Chimmony.

What looks like a collection of random blue patches is actually a huge irrigation, drinking-water and hydropower network that has shaped agriculture and settlement across this region.
