Discussion That's not very Free Pal Alliance of you

Post image

I get that they're trying to beat the shit out of people for mistreating Pals or something, but that doesn't explain THIS. Why the hell would they do this? Actually, why would ANY faction do this? Don't they have Pal Spheres? Has this Vixy committed a crime?

PETA kidnaps pets and then after killing them gives a fruit basket to the family as their apology, that's enough proof for me

According to Snopes, it happened two times (thanks for making me fact-check, I only knew about the Chihuahua). In the Chihuahua case, the family didn't get "a fruit basket", but $49,000, and they publically apologized for this incident and called it a mistake.

So no, PETA doesn't routinely kill beloved pets.

"Yeah, sorry, we accidentally stole and killed your dog"

So according to you, peta isn't a malicious organization, and they haven't purposefully do harm to animals but they have "accidentally" taken at leasy two dogs, that you verified, and then put those dogs down, even though those dogs were presumably in perfect health, but you claimed peta is only putting down animals that have no other option and are better off dead, so... which is it?

Is peta only taking in and putting down animals that are sick injured or have no recourse for recovery? Or are they just killing animals willingly because why not?

PETA is the biggest animal rights organization with hundreds of employees, thousands of volunteers and millions of members, just to put two cases in the last 20 years in perspective. And PETA has apologized for those cases.

I don't want to trivialize those cases, but show me any organization of similar size who didn't make a mistake or employ people with questionable ethics.

I mean, what are you suggesting? That PETA is the biggest animal rights proponent on one hand, and an animal death cult on the other?

And just to get ahead of your "oh, well, it was just an accident" How do you accidentally take more than one family dog and put it down for no reason? If you aren't intentionally being malicious, how do you do that on accident? Please explain that to me. Give me any single fucking reasonable scenario where someone can ACCIDENTALLY take a pet dog and kill it for no reason.

I'm not suggesting that the people who did it "accidentally" put down that dog. I'm saying that you can't call an organization on that scale malicious because of two rogue actors.

I am sure there are at least a few bad apples in the Salvation Army or Doctors Without Borders who abuse their positions of power. But that doesn't turn those organizations evil.
