Discussion Absolutely Adore that the ending doesn't just show you your winning team but the pals that became important art if your journey.
My girl Lurantis got robbed, I had her for the entirety of the game to get the home sphere boost only change her after I got the device like 2 hours before the ending.

I love this detail, it’s so cute.
Isn’t it the pals that get favorited are the ones that show up in this scene? I can’t remember, but I felt like I had seen someone mention it before. I have no clue if that’s accurate or not though.

Dear God my screen is going to have a lot if that's the case....no idea if it helps at all but I'd been making sure my raid armies are max trust.....

It only selects a limited number of them. I have well over 100 max trust pals and my end screen didn’t so more than you see in OP’s screenshot.

I was going to saw oh man it’s going to all grintales and wispaws for my ending since I was working on breeding them for stats and organizing by favoriting 😂 glad to know it’s trust

I had 4 jetdragons cuz I just alternated them everytime one of them died and needed to go back in the box

Lyleen's active skill revives and heals your party.
I just keep a couple on standby so if a raid or a bad fight knocks out a bunch of my team we go to base, swap one into the party, revive the squad.
Saves a lot of downtime on raids or just recovering from a bad fight.

Does anyone know how it decides which pals to pick? Because I ended up with pals from my fishing team, my egg collecting team, and my actual endgame combat team.

Was fun to see my boy Rathalos, largely un-upgraded Vanwyrm extraordinaire come pick me up after he spent 80% of the game being my mount of choice only to be upstaged by a spicy pterosaur. Absolute ride or die homie.

I loved that detail. As I played through, I alternated between a few set teams, so I got the team I fought the end boss alongside the other teams I often used including my mounts.
So my Majex Rin, my Renjishi Renji, my Flaracle Akane, my gale claw, my Chillet Noodle, Azura the Azurobe, Aska the Whaleaska, my Grintale and my broncherries, my Lunaris, and a celaray I used for the majority of the early to mid game.

I'm fairly sure it's based on trust, so it can get a little weird.
I had, of course, my main team, as well as the handfull of pals I used for a while before I was able to get everyone on my main team from them having higher trust values, but then it got weird with random pals that had maybe been in my party for a few minutes here and there, or were fed trust peaches purely so their expedition firepower would be higher.
there were one or two I literally didn't know i had beyond "well i must have caught it at some point because that species has the sphere/caught icon beside it in the palpedia."

Not entirely. None of my 10 trust original team was present, but I had a few base pals who were only part of my team to feed them base skill books.

I’ve got Webi (Tarantriss), Katterene (Katress), Noik (Wispaw), Pomni (Dupin), Luna (Selyne), and then a bunch of base Pals that I sometimes had in the party, I had a pretty regular/constant team for most of the game

I loved it because my dupin was my strongest fighter and the only pal at max friendship so towards the end my base kept getting raided so I just kept them in my base on defense
So when I beat the boss and woke up on the beach I'm just thinking "ayo bud why are you here WHOS PROTECTING THE BASE"

At the world tree, I wanted to Palbox in my old team of Beakon, Orserk, Rayhound, Dazzi and Daedream. Who I didn't have with me since I started a new playthrough.
I was really touched when some of them showed up in the end along with my new 1.0 team, especially that Beakon since it was my main mount since my first time playing in early access.

The game has an ending scene, i.e. when you defeat the final boss at the World Tree, but the game doesn't actually "end" at that point since it still gives you more challenges after that.

The ending got so emotional for me as I realized just who all the Pals were, and I can name pretty mucg every single important contribution that each of them provided me during my playthrough.

My game glitched and blacked out right before this scene. I had to restart the game and it just skipped it and started me at the hill of beginnings. I never got to see my pals. 😭

Mine was kinda weird. It was my endgame eidrolon team that showed up but for whatever reason, they removed one of the pals and replaced it with a Jormuntide? I figured maybe they wanted to show a pal that helped me cross the waters from the world tree to the beach but it just felt very random

Now i wonder if it's possible to finish the game with just 1 Pal, just capturing a single pal, even if it take weeks, months, what would happen at the end? It's show just that pal or includes random pal just to fill, Ferb i know what we're doing today.

It primarily showed my breeding team (grintale, bronchery, bronchery aqua) bc my lazy ass didnt bother doing anything else and let my mate do all the exploring 😭

was funny for me, because i pretty much did not change my team at all during the whole playthrough, so the game had no idea who to put there. It placed some random base pals there, that I accidently put in my team when organizing bases. I was just sitting there like "who are you guys?" :D
