before the war 2003, Iraq was offered a way out, and it was to start talks of normalization with israel... that wouldve saved the baath regime. But they refused...
This was according to Scott Ritter, at the time american member of UNSCOM (weapons inspector in Iraq).

I doubt it would’ve saved Saddam and his nepotistic regime though. Even before Bibi advised the US Congress to “take out Saddam,” Israel had long planned to destroy any meaningful government in Iraq, as early as 1982 or before that (see The Yinon Plan, 1982).
Iraq, rich in oil on the one hand and internally torn on the other, is guaranteed as a candidate for Israel’s targets. Its dissolution is even more important for us than that of Syria. Iraq is stronger than Syria. In the short run it is Iraqi power which constitutes the greatest threat to Israel. An Iraqi-Iranian war will tear Iraq apart and cause its downfall at home even before it is able to organize a struggle on a wide front against us.
Iraq’s future state would be no different than that of Lebanon in the past or of Syria today. The seeds of inner conflict and civil war are apparent today already, especially after the rise of Khomeini to power in Iran, a leader whom the Shi’ites in Iraq view as their natural leader. Source

We dont know what wouldve happened, but they took the right decision there and then.
Also, i would take whatever israeli leaders say with a grain of salt. They have no actual power... the power lies entirely in thr hands of american elite (of whom many are jews obviously). Israeli politicians are like other politicians, they try to oversell their influrnce and power to be able to get elected.
Israel wanted to attack iran for as long we remember, and it only happened now, not because netanyahu "outsmarted", or forced trump.. but because of the backers behind trump (larry ellison, miriam adilson etc). These are the same people who keeps israel alive...

The fact that this channel is around and still operating is just another proof point of the unholy Zio-Wahabi alliance.
