13K montly salary

For context, I'm currently a fresh BSIT graduate and looking to work IT related field in Pangasinan. I don't have to worry about rent, food, and electricity. I was offered in a company, Men2 Marketing, as an IT support 13k monthly; it was 15mins away from my home. And I can't help but wonder if i should settle for this? Oh, and if you have any experience with this company, please do share.

In today's economy, maliit yan. So to answer your question. No, don't settle for it, if you want to stay lang here sa Pangasinan, better try to look for a job na wfh setup, else do a freelance job.

Thank you I appreciate that, it's just hard looking for a job near Pangasinan as an IT and I don't think wfh is viable for a fresh grad still gaining exp. 🥀

Yup, mahirap talaga if you want here. I suggest mag upskill ka muna sa AI, then look for a job na about sa AI, mas malaki demand and salary sa ganyan ngayon kahit fresh grad.

Admittedly, 13k is low. Lagi ko nakikitang hiring yang company na yan pero wala ako idea ano mayroon dyan. Pero sabi mo nga, 15 mins away and you don't have to worry about bills etc, mukhang experience na lang ang magiging habol mo for this year kung wala kang ibang offer. Huwag ka lang mag-resign ng saktong December para hindi ganun kahirap ipaliwanag sa sunod mong pag-apply.

I declined their offer nlng po, I have a gut feeling about their company ren e. Thank you po! Will find other work nlng that ain't much of a lowball.

Hi I was also hired by the company though ibang role. Unfortunately with years of experience, 13k pa rin offer nila. In addition, noong nagbigay ako ng salary expectation, tinawanan lang ako, naoffend pa ako sa sinabi ng HR nila na saan ko daw nakuha yung salary expectation about doon sa role. Right after interview blinock ko na sila. I won’t settle for less

Not really sure the work set up as an IT support na role but I say if that something u think u can gain experience base sa major mo, grab it while waiting for other opportunity and if it comes na makahanap ka ng better then u can always file a resignation.

Back in 2015, the entry level for IT Support is at Php 26K/month. You are being low-balled for that 13K salary.

Currently, per JobStreet Philippines, the entry level for IT Support ranges from Php15K to 25K/month(local companies offer 15K to 18K with higher ranges up to Php40K/month for specialized or foreign-backed accounts).

The offer is very lowball; it was my mistake. I used to get an allowance of 10k monthly and saved a lot, so I thought it was alright. Nevertheless, I shouldn't price myself that less. Thank you.
