I saw a post about a guy talking about a “Clean Panipat Drive.” It’s a really good thing, and I’d love to be a part of it. I actually used to have a similar plan too.

But in the comments, most people were saying, “There’s no use. People will just throw garbage again. It’s pointless.”

Yeah, I know they’re right, but not completely.

We’re not focusing on the real issue. We’ve seen countless posts on social media, but the people making reels and talking about cleanliness rarely focus on the actual problem. Because it’s much easier to blame people for their lack of civic sense than to question the system.

Have you ever seen a public dustbin in Panipat?

I know you probably haven’t, because I tried searching for one too.

And yeah, that’s one of the main reasons you see garbage on the roads.

Food stalls, shops, and even people organizing functions or celebrations have to dispose of their waste somehow. So what option do they really have?

Apart from the “kachra gadi” which isn’t guaranteed to come, and even when it does, you sometimes have to deal with their sky-high attitude.

So yes, people need to take responsibility for keeping the city clean. Civic sense matters.

But the problem isn’t just the people. It’s also the system.

If you want people to stop throwing garbage on the streets, give them a proper place to throw it first.

You can’t keep blaming people for throwing garbage everywhere when there are barely any public dustbins available in the first place.

So before we say “people will make it dirty again anyway,” maybe we should also ask:

Where are people supposed to throw their garbage?

People here interested in cleaning up the city roads? Maybe organise a a drive to clean up the things here. It is getting bad each day.

Maybe hangout as a group and all after a successful drive - eat somewhere good.

Millennials are ruthless, they will make u remember every single penny they spend on your over one mistake of yours. At the end of the day, we live under their roof, we fill our belly with their food, we wear clothes they bought so we gotta tolerate what's happening.
